    Nihombasa Logo

Some ideas are just too good to let die. After 3 years ][ntamin22 introduces Nihombasa, a gold medal winning mini park with one coaster. Nihombasa joins Oh, Shenandoah & Mercury Valley Mills as his third New Element accolade and another RCTLL production. While the park is small compared to many, the park was submitted under the spotlight category and manages to grab gold, the highest honor a park of this size can garner. Read On...

Impressive. I liked the use of the inverted track, very slick. There were lots of great little things in the park that are enjoyable to look at. On the negative side, and maybe it's because I'm oldschool, but I as a whole the park seemed rather glitchy and cluttered. I can see what you were going for, and like I said before it's impressive, but I think I personally prefer a calmer look. I don't mean to be overly negative there, I know that you are stretching LL past it's intended potential. I applaud your ingenuity! All in all it was a joy to look at - and like I've said in almost every post, I like seeing some good LL.

At first I thought; "How does a small park like this grabs this high honor here at NE.. Looks like the standards are going down"..

But then after viewing it in-game I must say I'm impressed and there are a lot of small novelties, has an awesome coaster and it overall boozes atmosphere that I think it equals one of the better large ll parks on this site.. I think it's not really about the size but more about the time you spent looking at a park.. This little park manages to grab me and keeps me looking at all the little details for quite some time.. Is it enough to warrant a Gold status here at NE? I don't know, but I did enjoy it..

^ I agree with frags as well. Firstly I thought mmm small map how can it deserve a gold? Eitherway this entry certainly deserves that as I love the variation of buildings and the atmosphere you've created is like no other I've really seen in LL. Call me a LL noob but It was really nice to see such a different approach to a theme.

Congrats. A full scale solo from you would be epic ;)

It's really nice, but it definitely should be a design not gold. While on the right quality for gold, it just wasn't big enough. For me, it's not what gold is. Gold should be a full park. This was a small map with some very nice buildings and a rollercoaster.

^Yeah I agree actually, a design would be much more suited..

It still wins gold regardless, I believe.

Either way, an interesting choice to submit it as a park and not a design. Guess it paid off with the thing getting gold. The system allows any size park to get any accolade, but the small ones certainly have to have a lot of quality to compete. Apparently this one did when all was said and done, so nice job, Intamin.

Really hope you'll keep doing stuff-- would be awesome to see something larger sometime!

    like something h2h sized?

That's correct, there's only a size limit for spotlight. Still, I think this should've been a design. If a park only has one coaster, I think it's a design. Still, deserving either way.
