    Really enjoy the sequence when first opening the park. You've got a knack for giving parks an extra sense of kinetic energy, Jan. My favorite parts of this park are the Arrow looper, the railyard, and the outstanding half-sunken shipwreck. Nice work

    Congrats on gettin such a cool park done, its quite large too! I like how the density changes across the park. The city section is my favorite, its so evocative of that time and place. The scale of the buildings is impressive. I really enjoy the Prypiat Bobby, probably my favorite ride in the park. The collection of custom flats are all creative and cool. The power plant itself is well done too, it's huge!! This palette allows for some real cool use of colors, love that!! The rundown boat outside the hyper is the best detail in the park!!

  • Description

    On April 26, 1986, Reactor Number 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant exploded. This was the result of severe negligence and incompetence. Several people died in the immediate aftermath of the explosion and thousands more fell ill or perished due to the radioactive contaminants that spewed out of the open reactor core.

    In a parallel universe, years before the disaster, Soviet officials wanted to attract more plant employees and residents to nearby Pripyat, an industrial city that housed all the plant workers. They decided to integrate a theme park into the grounds of the power plant as well as in the nearby woodlands. Was this a good idea? It seemed so at the time. However, in this parallel universe the disaster would still happen at 1:23:45 on April 26, 1986 and Soviet officials would still cover up and underplay the fatal amounts of radiation spewing from the reactor. The peeps don’t seem to know that their visit to the theme park will soon be their last.
