Guys really, Goliath, what is your point? Yeah, it has flaws and it isn't that good, so what? It only won bronze not spotlight, next thing, when you post something like this, you should think of the consequences, maybe you think you are good now by pointing out all the flaws in Nokia his work, but whenever you post a screen here, don't forget you are being put under the microscope as well. And why ruin a topic here? Although I agree that the park isn't good, I don't get your motivation of doing this, you get negative reactions with replys on you and the builder doesn't get any tips / advice how to improve in the future. Only reason I can think of why you did this is because you are jealous, nothing wrong with that, but keep it for yourself then, instead of showing it in this way.

Goliath, next time, please consider a different way of saying your stuff, and don't forget the microscope.

Anyways, Nokia, I think this park was good for you to build, the quality is low and the score reflects that, but I agree that the fun factor is really important too, and I think you have gain more experience with this park which you will use good in your future parks & designs. Congrats on the bronze :)

Sorry, but I completely agree with Goliath on this as well. It's not a dickish thing to do, if you don't like parts of the part, surely you should be allowed to say you don't?

    well said Cena. :)
The difference between constructive criticism and sounding like a dick can just be in the wording but it can influence peoples opinions of you more than you might think.

Sure you can point out what you don't like but you can do it without sounding like your just slating the person.

I don't want to be a dick, but I have to agree with Goliath (partly).

Didn't you notice, Nokia, that this coaster isn't moving?
It's a huge negative point imo.

I've no problem with the white glitches, so doesnt matter for me.

Your supports were really ugly, especially on the Intamin.
Maybe you should look at Intamin's on RCDB.

This flowers are just unnecessary, dont' see a sense for them.

Moreover the theming seems really rushed and looked boring.

All in all this park looks lazy, unexciting and rushed, sorry.
I know you can do much better. :)

    My vote would've been:
    8

i have no idea why people are focusing on the bad things here. there are alot worse parks out there, go pick on them. this park was by and large very pleasing, maybe you guys could look at it that way instead of being so fucking depressing.

There is a difference between giving criticism and being a dick.

If you want your project released on the front page as an accolade you need to be able to take posts like Goliath's
It honestly wasn't a big deal

edit: I wouldn't say Goliath was being a dick either, it'd be kind of pathetic if that actually hurt Nokia's feelings
We're not six years old here giving a drawing to our mothers

Comet, yeah well obviously, but it was pretty unfair not even to say 1 good thing. And say that you thought acolade winners were meant to be perfect when the park you yourself one an acolade with wasn't either.

The architecture was good, there was only 1 shop which i didn't like so props for that too.

Ok that got lost in a mass paragraph of negativity and I missed it. :p

    Hi, people.

Imo there is no clear party which is totaly right, cause both parties are right in most ways.

I would have given it a 10 and of course I think that it deserves bronze. But it's also really sad, cause without all the errors, goliath had pointed out (which is OK imo, cause I think it should help Nokia to avoid them the next time), the park could easily be silver.
I really like this park and I had/have much fun watching it. But something like 3 hours more work on it could have made it much better than it is. And that is really sad imo, cause the park defenitely had been much work, so what are 3 hours more?
I think that is also the point goliath tried to say, so you shouldn't pick on him that much... I think he tried to help...

    Best regards, Sir Valium

I take it this is an Intamin, these supports are no where near what Intamin build, if you take an extra 10 minutes they would look much better (except for 1 tiny one), no cross beams or supports angled down.

HAH YEAH BECAUSE IT HAS TO BE 100% REALISTIC TO BE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO GOOD

I think controversy is good for the community as it’s nice to receive different amounts of information from so many different eyes. It seems to me that this park was built with some basic ideas in mind and the basic level of building was evident.

I didn't enjoy the park but I do enjoy the fact that you’re a good name in the community and your next project is going to be a lot better as I know you would have learnt from this.

Considering you built it fast (to my knowledge) you probably just wanted to finish a big(ish) project. I say well done and congrats for bringing a park and theming together like you have. It requires improvement but I'm glad you released this as your building your rct portfolio and developing your style. That’s the main thing to me. So many good players post screens and don't finish parks, you today have proved your not one of them.

Congrats to Nokia for a cool bronze! I can't wait to see what you build next!

I agree with Roomie, in the sense that Goliath is partially right. This was a "meh" kind of park, which I won't fault Nokia on since that seemed to be what he was aiming for. However, as countless others have said, a few more hours could have really done wonders for all the little mistakes everyone is pointing out. My main problem with the park, though, was the coaster layouts. I mean, the park was basically just three big coasters, and I really didn't like any of them. The GCI looked really nice. I can't fault you on the block break problem. We had that in Land of Wonders when we submitted it during H2H5. The pacing was just awful, though. That one part near the end where the train just kind of meandered around through some turns really made me cringe. The Intamin, again, looked badass. I immediately took it as the park's signature ride, and just expected that it would be hauling ass the whole time. It really didn't. It actually looked pretty mild, and the layout was a little too uninteresting for it to be that slow over the airtime hills. The Accelerator was actually, in my opinion, the best of the three, although not seeing intamin track is always a major turn-off. Goliath pointed out that awkward ending, which I actually loved. I thought it would have been awesome to experience that in real life. The rest of the layout seemed a little too fast, and kind of random--almost as if you built the layout really quickly in one try. It wasn't awful, though. Deffinitely the best of the three.

Overall, not a bad park. I would have voted 10, as I thought it was worthy of an accolade. I thought your acrchitecture was pretty nice, and the foliage was pleasant enough. I thought the lack of flats really kind of killed the park, though. I mean, if I didn't like coasters that much, there would be no reason for me to go to that park. You even had a good thing going with the log-flume, but ended up making it defunct. Oh well. I respect this park for what it is and what it was intended to be. I had a fun fifteen minutes looking around, so good job. Congrats on the win.

I voted it a 7 because of the reasons Goliath mentioned.
If you think I just 'like' Goliath more, just look at my reply in his Huntington Thrills topic ;)
My post from the release prep:

I didn't like much in this submission.

IMO it was boring, sloppy and full of glitches.
There wasn't really anything there that caught my eye - except maybe the defunct log flume, but that was 'meh'.

    So a 'meh' from me.

I know you can do way better Nokia, so I'm looking forward to your future releases!

Wow SSS, Louis, Seriously WTF is there to be jealous about? With this win me and Nokia are now on even levels, having both 1 a bronze accolade, let me remind you mine did score higher.
I honestly don't see why your sticking you for him, oh jee i don't know maybe because hes your friend? Think about it. Most people don't want to be harsh because people don't want to hear the truth.
I remember when i was young someone asked me "if i liked this picture, tell the truth" I replied with "it's absolute shit house" hey the person asked for the truth and if they can't except 1 persons comment then that shows there too used to people agreeing with them.

Seriously people around here need to start manning up and except the truth for once, i hate your park, get over it, make it better next time.
And don't call me a dick when i take serious time in posts like this for a 4 line post from the person it's aimed at. People seriously need to start posting some lengthy posts around here when one is aimed at them.

    even levels? get out. seriously.
  • Goliath123%s's Photo
You didn't even back up your statement, this is exactly what im talking about
  • Louis!%s's Photo
Ermmm...I never mentioned you being jealous. So yeh.
