fine ill quit showing my stuff!
What I wonder is why you insist on showing it at this site? Is it the first one you found when googling "RCT site"? The community isn't as large as it was say, twelve years ago, but there are still plenty of other sites where you could show this kind of screens without people getting upset, where you would meet a more understanding audience. Why don't you just try one of those sites?
Historyfreak: If you wish to show your work and post your work to our site you are welcome to do so.
To the others that comment on this work: If you don't like it being here, don't comment. If you want to comment, go ahead comment away, but there are no rules to say that people cannot post what they want to post (within the realm of RCT), so when making your comment, don't be telling members off for posting what they have done.
We've tried hard to make NE more inclusive, and a lot of you that are currently complaining are here because we made it more inclusive. So please do not bitch and moan at new members for posting stuff that you may or may not agree with.

Attack me for being "elitist" when I suggested somebody post their stuff on r/rct.
Then say the SAME DAMN THING that I said before to this guy.

Historyfreak, keep playing the game. At the end of the day, it's what you enjoy, and you seem to really like what you build. If it isn't up to these guys' standards, who honestly cares? You can't stop them from leaving crappy comments, so post your stuff where you want, just know that this may be the response you get.

what i should have said was, "don't be dicks."
For me personally it's not that I don't want him to post, it's more that I'm questioning his choice to post on this particular site, in an effort to guide him to a place where he'll have a higher probability of finding a supportive audience. I mean, he keeps saying he plays when he's feeling bad and I would assume that posting screens of that work is an attempt at finding some sort of consolation or positive attention. As far as I can tell, with few exceptions, he doesn't seem to be getting that here... Not all comments have been hostile, many have genuinly tried to appreciate his screens and give him constructive criticism on how to "improve" his building so as to fit in better at the site, but even those somehow appreciative comments seem to me to be misguided attempts to push him in a direction he's obviously not interested in going... That's what puzzles me about his choice to continue posting here, in the face of such opposition. I mean, is he really happy about the kind of reactions he gets? I wouldn't be, and it doesn't seem he is either. That why I, at least, suggest he tries some other sites. For me it's not about being elitist, though as I've explained at lenght in another comment on one of historyfreak's screens I can also easily understand that many people grow frustrated with seeing the main page fill up with this kind of work time and time again. I'm all for an inclusive, open atmosphere where one doesn't have to show Spotlight-quality work from day one, but if someone keeps demonstrating that they aren't interested in ever developing their building in accordance with the site's traditions and standards, then I think they simply must've chosen the wrong site...

Don't be discouraged historyfreak. Just try to come up with rct content that has more structure and planning. Why people get so mad about this I don't know, but I personally appreciate when there's lots of stuff happening on the site. Everyone should be entitled to share their rct on here, as long as they post in an acceptable manner.
Definitely keep playing rct and I'd love to see you experiment with other techniques of rct than what you've shown so far. Let us see the other work you can come up with. Architecture, plazas, single rides, etc.
I dig it. Reminds of me of when I actually enjoyed the game. When you could create something in a few sessions instead of taking a week to place a couple supports. Do what gets you hard, man, and fuck all these people.
