Loving the castle, but i don't like how the diagonal path covers are red instead of brown.

Looks great, but feels a bit small for a castle. Looks more like a manor.

I think it's believable as a small side castle. Like where the maids lived or so. Great archy, lovely. This is easy your best work so far. Listen to Thibo and change the diagonal paths in front of the castle to brown as well.

its definitely more of a manor house, castles are typically fortified in some way. in terms of composition, the building seems nice, but overall the screen lacks interest. its kinda flat both in relief and in colour. perhaps as time goes on you will develop it more.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

Yeah I have to agree that I posted this screen too soon, I'm not really proud of the screens I uploaded lately, for example the big castle I made is now totally different. Guess I have to learn to wait and work a bit more before posting! :p

I will add more details here, improve the ground textures and bring life to the area.

PS: in France, even a small manor like this can be considered as a "château", particularly in the wine culture.

    Nice.

Don't fall too deep into the micro hole.

Really nailed the French vineyard vibe here. This screen is perfect, it doesn't even look unfinished to me.

And yeah, one may as well live in a shed, if one makes wine, it's a "chateau"!

Here is a little update !

The more finished screen looks much better. :) Good use of the squared off shrubbery, don't see that too often.

Yes, you're onto something for sure. Great work.

For a better realistic feel I would add some features to the road like signs and poles. The building can also use some indications that this map is set in the 21st century. Maybe some telephone poles and wires going to the building.
