My goodness that looks so cute. Got a bit of isometric depth problem back there with the grey tarmac behind the entrance gates that you'd wanna try to avoid, though.

On one side I like these quirky objects, but some of them like the red/white barriers on either side of the entrance aren't great in quality. Same can be said for the booth-like shapes that look like they're straight out of Zoo Tycoon. I'd suggest trying to make these specific objects manually out of other smaller objects, as that helps you come up with a creative solution and probably fits better in looks with the rest of the park.

    Such a good start, though.

It’s interesting how you use so many objects I’ve never seen before. Not a fan of the WW/TT cars.. especially the weird mix of old cars and like, a newer sedan.

True, I wanted to do a different parking lot, yes, so I saw that question mixed old cars.
I tested other cars, but it did not go well, they mix the white line.

New direction for you. Will be interesting to see where you take it.

I would use totally different objects for the cars, the one tile ones.

    Edit: like these: https://www.nedesign...rdwalk-parking/

I like the second entrance a lot actually. Use of the theater is nice.

I somewhat agree with faas about the cars because they don't fit the game's graphical style very well, but I also disagree mainly because everyone else on this site uses those frickin' cars. I wonder if there's a way to hijack the .dat for those old-timey cars and modify the image to make them match the in-game style better? I might have to try that later today.

hehe true, we have more than 13,000 objects, but very few cars, I tried to modify cars in a program I saw on this website, it did not look good.

    Guys, please comment

The park I'm doing is not from the years 50's, but the cars are old.
Actually the idea of doing a park with (parking old cars), is just to get the idea thatall park has parking. (to increase the park)
Is it strange? I use these cars 50's but the Park is not 1950.
Do you understand what I mean?
  • saxman1089%s's Photo

The problem with the cars is twofold: first, they're WW/TT (Wacky Worlds/Time Twister) objects, and many of the members here don't have WW/TT, so they won't be able to view your park. The second issue, which is also the reason why many NE members don't have WW/TT, is that they don't match the visual style of the base game and the original scenery objects well, and so they stick out and look somewhat bad. It's ultimately up to you which cars you choose, but just keep these things in mind.

It might be seen as a little strange to have 1950s cars in a park that's not set in that time period, yes. I would say use the cars faas suggested then. You can also find a truck object that someone made based on the mini-truck ride in the game, and put some of those in to provide a bit of variety in your parking.

A final note, don't think you need to make a large parking lot. Just a little bit on the map edge will convey the proper look, and then you can save your effort for making more of the actual park.

I don't have too much of an issue with the cars. Sure they're kind of outrageous and too funky but that's just what his parks look like in general, and I find it refreshing. If he was to use the standard cliché cars object they would look weird too.

That entrance fountain is really cool. Your parks feel very alive and energetic, mixed with a slight tendency of soviet architecture. I'm quite curious on your progress here.

    THX Posix and saxman1089 :)

Now I really understood about WW and TT, I had not thought of this. (Useful information)
So I'm going to use RCT2Open objects and replace the cars with other current ones.
Posix about parking you are right, I will make it small parking.

I wanted to make a sophisticated parking, it did not work, the white lines did not help much.
Following the guidance of the difference between WW and TT I changed the cars.
I think the simple one got better, I did not use "PATH", white lines on the earth got good.
    Small parking indeed got good.
When you change the angle of the sandbox, the lines remain right, they do not cross the cars.
Unfortunately I had a bug, I had to start the Park again.
I discovered that you need to be careful with the fences of the sandbox, it depends on how you change cause "bug".
The cars are small so I was careful to use objects proportional to the size of the cars :)

well, I had to remake 3 times, "bug" occurred (saxman1089 told me to save the park with multiple file-names 1,2,3 etc.)it worked.
I think I can now continue (sigh).
I'm still determined to make roller coasters to be enjoyed, I will try SPOTLIGHT, I know it is hard, I have to try. :)

(guys sorry my grammatical, my bad english)

That's a cuter parking lot now. Did you downsize the WW/TT cars?

Is this an altogether new entrance now? I think I preferred the first one a bit to be honest. Still a great fountain.

  • Description

In this new project, I am determined to make a park really nice, worthy of being appreciated.
I'm going to try to make amazing and elaborate roller coasters as much as I can, I'm in love with roller coasters.
Only this small part, I spent 7 hours working, very planning, it may be simple for those who see, but it was complicated for me.
    Feel free to comment :)
