    I enjoy the roll and see it for what it’s supposed to be although the sprites don’t make it look smooth. Better to have the desired element in there and for it to look a bit awkward than to leave it out entirely!

    Great idea in general.

    Its all good.  You guys are right it does look kinda bad.  I'll just change it to the regular roll instead. :)

    I feel ya. I run around here, fan-boying and looking for ideas, and then never find a way to push through a project. It's frustrating because the stuff that goes up around here will often have a disclaimer about how they "only had an hour to do the park, but hope it's acceptable" (Result: Gold).

     

    Meanwhile, I'm sitting in the corner with a head full of ideas, trying to shove two incompatible tracks together and generating dumb questions like a poorly designed chat bot. And that western themed park that I was gung ho for yesterday is left behind for a "Bigger and better" idea that is elevated only long enough to fuel my disappointment.

     

    IMHO, an RMC without an inline twist is like cinnamon toast without cinnamon. Without seeing it run, it looks like the element is just in an awkward place. Since the RMC has one type of inversion (that coupled with different in/out tracks create a short list of stunt options) you want the stunt to be advertisement for the ride - so over the station, part the park entrance, over a path, etc. Anywhere that it is visible and can take some special theming. I'd suggest rather than abandon it - double down! Get in there and make it work. The RMC is nude compared to the woodie track, so themeing is key. Use wood to build some CS supports and make it look like a mine train instead of Arie Force One.

     

    It's pretty ballsy and audacious to post this cap here. But "ballsy and audacious" is pretty much your avatar. (For Gator fans, he will always be "the one that got away"). So - you know - stiff arm and go!

     

    While I do not have the courage or the chops to post my work here, I do find a charm in the critical, nit-picky comments. Imagine Cam sitting in a room with Cunningham and Vick. Those guys are going to rip the kid - but Cam is going to absorb it and be better. It's good-natured, it is honest, it is often somewhat lost in translation - but it's definitely worth paying attention to.

     

    In short - I dig it; I'd like to see you finish it; I like football; stiff arm and go.

    There is a way to make a roll like that look nicer, going in from that side. I believe Deurklink has a tutorial for it in his "how to make an RMC" video.

    outdated nfl references aside (lol), the problem with the roll is that you are using two different twist directions. which is kinda a thing rmc would do but it just looks janky as hell in-game. just make it twist all the way around

    According to that interview with Alan Schilke giving a tour of Steel Vengeance, RMC does do something very similar. They call it a snake dive. But it always looks jerky in the game.
