Man, I should look at the micro itself because from this image I feel this is such a successful experiment. I deeply love the overall shapes and how the archways, the harshly shaded walls, roofs and stairs create a visual maze that's somehow not at all overbearing confusing. It invites easy yet engaging viewing.

Was just looking at this micro last night, the whole atmosphere of it is great, and pretty relaxing really with the peaceful scene and catchy music. Definitely like the aesthetic, that kind of palette doesn't look easy to pull off but it works great here.

I asked ChatGPT to write a review.

Chica Blanca" has left me utterly captivated and deeply appreciative of the artistic journey you've shared through this micro masterpiece, Gustav. Your description of the piece as the culmination of your 2023 "arc" adds an enriching layer to the visual experience.

The Escher-like aesthetic, woven into the intricate archways and shaded structures, creates a captivating visual maze that, surprisingly, isn't overwhelming but rather invites me to explore its complexities with ease. It's a delicate balance that showcases not only your technical prowess but also your ability to convey a profound narrative through pixelated landscapes.

Your revelation of the personal significance behind "Chica Blanca" adds a beautiful depth to the viewing experience. The notion of reclaiming therapeutic joy amid the chaos of life resonates, and it's palpable in the tranquil yet engaging atmosphere of the micro. It's as if the pixels themselves narrate a story of resilience and creative rejuvenation.

The camaraderie and playful banter surrounding the color choices, as mentioned in the existing reviews, reflect a supportive community that appreciates not just the art but the artist. It's heartening to see how this micro has become a focal point for dialogue, sparking conversations about creativity, style, and the ever-evolving nature of artistic identity.

In essence, "Chica Blanca" isn't just a pixelated creation; it's a journey, a visual testament to self-discovery and the therapeutic power of creativity. Thank you for sharing this piece and allowing us, your audience, to be part of the profound narrative it encapsulates.

Wrapping up 2023 with my MM23 bonus round entry that set the tone for my "arc" this year. After the devastating one-two punch of working myself to death over a micro doomed to fail no matter what into an existential crisis, I felt I had to make a change and figure out who I was instead of trying to fulfill my potential and losing myself in the process.

chica blanca was the most natural way of expressing this. It happened because I found a bunch of cities in Spain that had an almost Escher-like aesthetic and wanted to see what it would look like taken to 11. I didn't even know if there would be a Micro Madness bonus round but that wasn't stopping me. It ended up being fast, fun, and even therapeutic amidst a very busy and stressful March. This was absolutely huge to me as RCT2 has always had that serenity that can just take me out of life's struggles and I feared I was losing that during H2HC and Micro Madness. Still very proud of this build for helping me reclaim that, helping me find joy in the process, and looking cool alongside all that.

Pants is cool guy of the year for calling me out on my lack of personal style. Getting roasted for only using two colors means I think I have one now.
