anti aliasing off if you have it on...

    Hello.

    I tried everything mentioned above.
The park STILL runs like a crawling baby.

Kevin and I have decided that when the park is finished, we are going to take infinite screens and make a few movies, because not everybody is going to be able to view this in-game. I can barely open it without giving my comp a massive coronary.

Though the park is beautiful, and insane, and an epic of mythic proportions, I suggest to future RCT3 players to limit the size of yoru parks to 110x100 or 125x125 max.

Yeah I know that blows but the complexity of the graphics and game engine are crushing the FPS rate even with 1000 MB of RAM and a top-of-the-line GFX card.

I will post screens of my random work when Kev is done having fun.

Honestly... there is no point in building a full scale park in rct3 right now... I have a brand new $500 geforce 6800 and more than a gig of ram and can't even run ensueno by sixfrags... and from the looks of it.. this park is going to be even more hardware demanding than that park. I couldn't even run it with every detail setting off.. and every thing on lowest detail with lowest resolution. So for now I'm personally just going to put an incredible amount of work on one ride/coaster design so people can at least enjoy that without having to ride it in 2 fps. I imagine when people can one day run this game or its future expansion packs, plus realize the game actually does have some potential if the parkmaker knows what he's doing in this new game.. rct3 could have a decent community lol.. Unfortunately for now... even as great as this park could turn out.. not much too look foward to other than the pretty screens that are posted.. but anyway.. good luck with the park if you do decide to continue to work on it :-)

I deleted the glass-enclosed waterslide thing, turned down the detail level slider to half, turned off reflections and shadows, selected 2-D foliage and my FPS went from around 2 to like 15.

My RCT3 park runs normal, and it is in the size of a sandbox mode. Dont know precisly how much blocks that are, but my park is almost full. And my pc is not very good, nut still it runs normal when your not going into a rollercoaster or something.

Just letting some of you people know. I can run sanbox parks and smaller parks fine... pretty smooth actually. It's just that this park has a lot of scenery and buildings in it, along with alot of landscaping. Im not surprised it runs slow but I have learned how to deal with it. I STILL have to start working on it. My life has been busy and since my brother fixes other computers every now and then, I don't have much time to do a lot.

But don't worry... new screens will come soon enough.

    Alright its back!!! :)

You doing this in Soaked now or still just the regular RCT3?
  • Meretrix%s's Photo
In Soaked. Expect water. LOTS of water.

Nice, this park will look extremely beautiful with waterfalls and such. Cant wait for those.... :)

Awesome, man. This is just about the best RCT3 stuff I've seen (but I haven't seen much).

The log ride looks fantastic. Everything else I'm kindof ambivalent about. A lot of the architecture options in RCT3 aren't that pretty and it looks like most of this so far is buildings and pathways. I don't remember if it was this park, but I remember Meretrix showed some screens of the inside of a themed ride awhile ago that were really cool. That's the kind of thing where RCT3 really stands out. The buildings though look kinda clunky compared to RCT2 and even LL. Which isn't your fault, it's the game, but that kindof stuff doesn't excite me much. Oh, the wooden coaster looks pretty sweet too.

    It's the same park Ed.

Ah, now I have someone to compete with.. ;)

    Looks great Meretrix.

Looks very nice. I really like the carousel building, personally. How is it running now with Soaked installed? Better, I hope. EDIT: It looks like you mentioned in another topic that it is running better.

And suddenly, I want to make a RCT 3 collabo with another person.

Awesome stuff, Trix! Can you please stay this time?

    The park is 175 x 175.

I'll put a screen up this weekend of the waterfall that now surrounds THunderhawks first spiralling drop.

    I LOVE this game!!!!!!!!!!!
