I think it needs a lot of tweaking to end up on an album. The guitar kind of sucks.
Phil's drumming in that one, though. Pretty good fill. I like that much. -

I don't wear either make up or nail polish...cept that one time at my mates fancy dress party which I happened to post a photo of, as I explainedWearing makeup and nail polish like a faggot doesn't make you refined.
Anyway. Futureheads and Bloc Party are pure shit, granted. But The Arcade Fire (while overrated) is great. And The Pixies! Jesus. If it wasn't for the Pixies this little festival wouldn't even exist.
But if you want to watch gay emo bands wear chick clothes and prance around like fairies (My Chemical Romance), that's okay too. You just should probably reconsider your masculinity afterwards.
Secondly, don't stereotype so much. Ok, I like Emo music, but that doesn't necesarily mean I like all emo music. For example, I don't particularly like My Chemical Romance (are they really emo anyway? Kinda hard to define what is these days) Just because I dress a certain way doesn't mean I automatically like a certain band. Besides, I thought MCR were shit at Reading, similar to how I felt supporting Taking Back Sunday at Brixton on their UK tour.
Funeral for a Friend were by quite a way the best act there, despite it not being the best performance from them I've seen (Astoria in June blew me away, Give a Name gig was awesome, them headlining Radio 1 stage last year and opening the concrete jungle the year before and the small venue I saw them in at York back in 2002 were all better) which was to be expected because I don't think they are really a main stage band. Bullet for my Valentine were pretty awesome too, the second best act there. Though again, not as good as when they supported Funeral at the Astoria. Looking forward to The Poison on the 20th September. Wales rules.
Fightstar were better than at give it a name, quite a buzzing crowd too. The Subway impressed me a lot actually (from my home town, Welwyn Garden City) I don't generally find their music all that amazing, but they were an excellent live act. Incubus were awesome, he has a great voice both on record and live. From Autumn to Ashes were better than I expected, an enjoyable performance. All American Rejects lead singer has the most annoying voice I've ever heard, but I was generally impressed.
18 Visions impress me more than I thought they would (didn't rate them supporting LostProphets at Hammersmith) Emanuel were pretty good, Million Dead Boring as were Rise Against.
Foo Fighters bored me to death...just seemed to reel off the songs one after the other and they all sound the same anyway.
Can't remember what other bands I saw right now.

Emo or not, it's a shame you had to see all those crappy bands and miss out on the good ones. -

I think I'll just stick with my grind/metalcore and death/black/progressive/thrash/hardcore metal.
Fisheye, can I come with you on the 4th? All expenses paid please. -

I saw them Ekimmel. Though I don't enjoy their music, I have to respect it. That guitar playing is immense. Though they did do all the cheesy stuff like have a beast on the stage during Number of the Beast etc. which is one of the reasons why i dislike maiden (big skeletons ride motorbikes etc. I mean...come on), another being the lead singers horrible voice. But yes, I saw most of their set and was impressed.

Also, if you watch the Funeral for a Friend one, you can see me, the second person it zooms in on singing along to Red is the New Black. Yay.
