I don't know...of the three "mountains" I thought it was the easiest. Matterhorn....total killer to do...especially in RCT3...stupid terra forming tool.

stop the kindergarten and talk about the park.
i still couldn't see it, by the way.
    i can't find my way on ae's page :(

AE is tricky by not providing the direct links to the rides. I think you have to mouse over each section of his "Disney Style" park screenshot to get the links you need.

Again, I'm prety sure all of this is in the readme in the SRU download... :p

Pretty cool park, I'm not a big fan of Disney...this is a made up Disney park, right? Not a recreation?
  • Highball%s's Photo
A little bit of both, actually.
  • posix%s's Photo
    wow, i'm much impressed.
by the way how you can recreate typical disney style so accurate and precise that it seems you do it at ease.
by the way how elaborated but still realistic your buildings are.
and by the way how convincing and "correct" your ride line-up is.

of course the mine train was a little slow but i know how bloody hard it is to a) do fast and exciting minetrains and B) fit them in a mountain.
the station of it was definitely one of the best minetrain stations i've ever seen. however i first thought it was a log flume hiding somewhere ;) (wouldn't fit, i know, but still, it was my first impression)
sometimes your plazas and open spaces were really on the edge of being too empty and huge, in my opinion.
maybe some of the indoor rides could have been livened up with entertainers as ...uh, i miss the english expression here, you know, "robots", heh, sorry. but i have to say when you're making a disney park, and ergo more indoor than outdoor rides, then i don't see myself tweaking the inside like that either. i guess it would be a bit overdone even. there are more important things to put details and tweaks on.
maybe open up all rides in your next park to make things seem more lively.
also i've never been too keen on these "accessable by ship only" parks. but that's just personal preference.

why this park isn't my favourite of all time is because it doesn't have the aesthetic beauty of rct. i'm positive you never wanted to do it anyway and i totally respect that, but it's what would have elevated this park for me from like to love ;)

i hope you'll keep on playing rct2 and delight us with your works.

    Thanks, posix.

What do you mean by "open up all rides"? If you mean green light them, then they were. Some were incomplete due to map size and map data limit.

Also, care to elaborate on the aesthetic beauty of rct?

I think he means keeping the roofs off and inner theme them and posix I think you were referring to 'animatronics'.
I think he means with the aesthetics that you use a lot of scenery that doesn't really fit in rct and it looks a little bit bland caused by that. I have to agree on that to be honest.

    yup, that's true.

"rct aesthetics" is a rather wide and undefined term. i'll try to explain what it means to me.

basically it means harmony. in looks, in shapes, in flow, in everything of your park.
in rct2 there are hardly any aesthetic parks. look at slob's thrillmatic or his solaris design and i think you'll get a better idea.
if you have rct1, look at schuessler's parks.
when looking at those works, i get overwhelmed by the prettiness of things, how warm everything seems to fit together, how lovely the landscaping is arranged and such.
that's what your parks do not have. some of your colours stick out, are too dominant or simply unfitting. same for landscaping.
however, you keep things realistic. something i really really do love. slob mostly failed at it.
and obviously, most people are "on your side", so to speak.
i mean this park was posted here this month and it already has 1000+ downloads. people come running from other rct sides to get your park. that's rather impressive. tells us you are definitely one of the top5 rct players worldwide.

oh and i would bet the rides were all closed for me :p
  • Highball%s's Photo
Hm... wierd that the rides were closed. I must have closed them before I sent it to Ty. I usually keep them open for music and atmosphere. As for scenery choices, I consider myself very picky when it comes to objects that fit in with the games original scenery, so I admit I'm a little baffled by the whole "doesn't look rctish" thing. Maybe it's just me, I don't know.

And thanks for the comms, posix and everyone else. Hopefully I won't let ya'll down with DisneySea. IMO it's turning out to be an even more amazing park.

    WTF?
  • marinersfan59%s's Photo
that was a wierd bump, but since this is up, I'm getting an invalid data error... anyone know what's wrong with it by any chance?
  • Akasha%s's Photo
^ Probably a missing ride from AE, you'll need quite a lot of them. Check X250's post on the previous page for a file with the rides you'll need.
