First point of discussion: Anyone plan to watch the World Baseball Championship? It might be interesting, even though they're doing it all wrong by getting it going in March and only playing single games, even for the overall championship.
Also, I set up a fantasy baseball league on Yahoo like we do every other NE fantasy league.
League ID: 199754
Password: rct
Input welcome as to how we should do this, regarding head-to-head or roto scoring, what positions to have, etc. Draft is set for Sunday, March 26, at 4:30 EST.Edited by Jellybones, 05 March 2006 - 03:38 PM.

I might watch some of the games, defineatly the American games. Also, I might get to go see Cubs-White Sox spring training.(this is exciting for all the guys that don't live in Arizona or Florida)
I'd sign up for a fantasy league... -

I'm watching NYM v Puerto Rico right now on ESPN, even though I'm not a fan of either, it's just great to see baseball back on tv.
And about the WBC, yeah I'm not a fan of it either... like the other %95 of Americans out there. Just give it to the Domin. and get it over with and back to regular Spring Training.
And i'm down for the NE Fantasy Baseball leauge. -

Pinning this now. Hey, Jelly, can you make it head to head rather than points only or rotisserie? H2H is more fun IMO. -

Rest in Peace, Kirby Puckett. He was one of the greats of baseball, and it's a real shame that he deteriorated physically during the last few years of his life. -

Wow yeah that was sad. I know a lot of people that are Twins fans that're truley heartbroken by this. -

Adam Stern and Jason Varitek both did well so it's okay with me.
I'm not patriotic. Go Sox. -

Yea, cuz it's not like the Rockies will provide any joy for you this year (or anytime soon). -

^ They have some pretty solid minor leaguers that will be tearing up the MLB soon... just like the Rangers will. -

True cork. I've lost virtually all hope in our Rockies ever since they tore down Mile-Hi Stadium. My best memory of our team is when I was suddenly greeted by Frank Thomas at an exhibition game back in 1992 . He popped out of the White Sox dugout during pregame warm ups....He signed a bunch of autographs for me (even providing me a ball) and shook my hand just before I was mobbed by a swarm of fans. Oddly enough, there seemed to be more Chicago (my favorite team) fans there than Denver ones.....ahhh memories.
But anyway, yeah. They're kinda like the Nuggets. They lose just enough games every year to keep us hometown fans unhappy. Its become kind of a tradition to only root for the Broncos, and maybe the Avalanche...sad but tru....
And honestly, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the MLB, so this fantasy thing should be interesting. However, I didn't know shit about the NBA and I'm in second place there....soon to be #1... -

Today's game is what the game should've been like against Canada.
17-0 mercy rule win over South Africa. Onto Anaheim. -
