    Thanks for the feedback guys.

I have tried to fix the layout a bit and I don't know if I have made it better or worse.

I like the first layout better but I think that the second one leaves more opportunities for interaction.

    Thoughts?

    Don't change a thing.

The loop looks forced. Keep the original.

You! You're -- Huh?!? I didn't know you were on NE! This is awesome!

And Ling, you'll get the park when csw is done, as I'm sure you already know. As for where to take it... you had a good layout on what you did build. Maybe a rustic kind of theme would fit what you've done thus far?

I really didn't know what I wanted to do either, but I built a building, put down some trees, and the rest went from there :SA:

enigma - the rooves and the path are too similar in color, making it seem a bit dull.

enigma, I would recommend varying up the textures and window types a little for more variety. The wooden fence object works wonderfully, I find (and if you want windows, use the gated one)

I don't care for the hedges, but otherwise it's really good! I think the textures are fine being that this is just a small clump of buildings.

@meznator: I like the old layout more :/

@enigma: I have to agree with Cocoa about the textures.

    Not sure about this layout...
  • Faas%s's Photo
It is a bit too long and stretched out. The elements don't 'flow' into eachother.
Also I think that for a flyer there's too much track where the guests lie on their back.
  • Odour%s's Photo
Well yeah, i'll delete it. It's like the seventh layout I've tried. For some reason, flyers are just not my thing :clown:/>

    ^ What he says!

Try to think more about a layout before you start.
Use the environment to help you decide what you want it to interact with, envision what it is that you're trying to build, or maybe even make a plan on a piece of paper.
You wouldn't be the first that makes a sketch before building the layout.
Something that really helped me to decide how to build and how to understand coasters, is youtube. ;)

Yeah man; watch some POV videos of flyers on YouTube. Take elements that you especially like and/or wish to include in your own flyer and string them together in the most coherent way possible. When you design a rollercoaster, pretend to be God as he (it?) was creating the first woman: create something easy and fun to look at while making it just as easy and fun to ride.

    ... I guess that's an effective analogy...

i doubt snapping his fingers will build him a decent layout.

Here's some stuff I'm working on.

The queue head and rollover for the main attraction of a Native American themed area: Totem, a Vekoma SLC Custom. The station isn't done yet. I know it looks bad right now.
