ouch. upper management feud.
*ducks behind cubicle ands watches fourth-quarter earnings chart fly overhead to hit the intern*
OLE- it's a big helix. The construction of the station looks great, but it in no way, shape, or form says "I'm dangling over a canyon."
more like "i'm bright and pleasant looking and not at al contributing to the roughened, dusty western feel ][ntamin associates with canyon coasters." ... that might just be me, though. ._. -

I like it! I actually think it's kind of funny that the helix looks like a Mickey Mouse head. I guess. That is the helix, right? Because if it isn't, I can't find it. -

Oops.. in all my stupidity I forgot to thank JDP Peeee and Xin for the comments... so thanks guys... and this will hopefully be finished.
oh and ][ntamin... I see where you're coming from on that... in fact I expected more comments saying this... the point is that I was hoping it would be bright and new rather than bright and pleasant... and it is dangling over a canyon because look at it's location... you can't really argue with that lol...
and I guess I'm not going for "dusty" or "western" themed buildings even though it would go with the coaster well... I was mostly going for a simple, realistic station... the blue glass is a stretch I'll admit but if I throw in some red it'll be the patriotic colors... which is pretty common I think
oh.. and I'm aware of the big helix =P -

There's a couple of things I want to comment on.
Firstly, the screens.
1) That helix just looks awkward. I commend you for trying something different, and it might be interesting when it's themed, but as for now it's nothing really.
2) The station looks like a block just stuck onto a cliffside. How on earth would that stay up in real life? It doesn't look bad, just needs more thought I think.
Now, Kumba. You've been ridiculous throughout this topic, and I agree 100% about what OLE said. Apart from the bit about Kumba not challenging me about my views. Because he did, thoroughly.
Ironically, Kumba's very first comment was right, though. -

I think I can venture a guess as to why the helix looked awkward. It doesn't use any 90 degree upward or downward slanting track. About 99% of all helixes (even SA's custom ones) used those track elements at some point so that does make this pretty different. Plus I cut down on the angles and the use of the 45 degree turn does add even more awkwardness to it. I like it though but the screen probably was too unfinished.
You're probably right about the station but I pretty much stated in my first post that I knew it was blocky. I would like some ideas other than "more thought" because I'm at a loss as to how it could be less blocky....
And I honestly don't care if the station would fall over in real life... if I were building this in real life you can be sure that my ideas would be grounded down to reality but for rollercoaster tycoon it's staying on the cliff face.
And the difference between you and me is... you look at it and think "blocky and needs work" and I look at it and think "an hour and a half of work... I'm not doing much more with this". There actually is a lot to do on it though... still need rafters, support the bridge up to it, elevator glass, elevator station.
And I'm not really going for atmosphere here... in fact I'm terrible at atmosphere and will be the first to admit it. I don't know how some of you guys create the stuff you do. What I'm trying to build a coaster to the best of my ability in an exaggerated and unrealistic setting and theme it to the best of my ability.
Oh and thanks for the support and I'm sorry for dragging you into it because I honestly didn't understand the situation. But I felt singled out at that point so I hope you understand. -

Im impressed by your maturity OLE. You act much older than 15, and this topic speaks volumes....you've handled it quite well IMO.
As for the topic at hand, I think it looks very intriguing and cant wait to see what you make of it. It is obviously quite unfinished though, so I find it hard to really draw a conclusion about the work at its current stage. The station does look stunningly well done for LL though, so props for that.
