Well, assuming you put Incredibles in spot 7.. 6 and 8 could be a.. uh...

Splash-down ride? I really don't know. -

I know these facts are irrelevant to your point, but the Disney dork in me just can't resist. It's like watching a WDW commercial and showing Cinderella Castle at the end of Disneyland's Main Street. It drives me nuts! The castle in Disney World is just shy of 200 ft. tall. Something like 196' & 6". (But don't quote me on that. I just know it's 18 stories tall.) The point is, it's LESS than 200 ft. tall, so that Disney wouldn't have to include a gaudy blinking red light on the tallest spire. As mandated by the Florida Aviation Authority... or whatever organization makes the rules for small low-flying aircraft.
Taking this under consideration, The Geodome is what I would consider the substitute for the traditional castle in the Ultimate Tomorrowland. And I know for a fact that when I created the Geodome, it was six building blocks TALLER than the maximum height that a land tile can be pulled to, which is 120 ft. (Lets just round that UP to 130 ft. to include the extra six building blocks, just to cover our butts.)
Since the traditional rule is nothing taller than the castle... in THIS park, it's Nothing taller than the Geodome. This really wouldn't put any real constraints on a coaster, even one that uses the large vertical loop, as the large loop is only 80 ft. tall. And to get a train through that would require a drop of 100/110 ft. So considering that, we're still 20 ft. shy of surpassing the height of the Geodome.
My coasters in this version of Space Mountain, already have large vertical loops. Since the coasters are situated in a pit, inside the Space Mountain dome, I was able to cheat a little, by lowering the loops 30 ft. Which would cause the large loops to be only 50 ft. above the normal land grade. And I wouldn't have to build the Space Mountain dome any taller than necessary.
So creating a 200 ft. tall mega coaster isn't really something that you would find in what is supposed to be a Disney style park. You can find them in the Six Flags parks though.
Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom is 189 feet tall. However, the highest point on Big Thunder Mountain tops out at 199 feet. The only reason Cinderella Castle appears taller is because Big Thunder Mountain sits lower than the castle and has a gradual climb to it's peak. At Disneyland, the Matterhorn obviously towers over Sleeping Beauty Castle. Spaceship Earth is 180 feet tall and is by far the tallest structure in Epcot. So I think it's ok for something to be taller than the castle/wienie, it just has to have a good reason to be taller (i.e., it's a mountain) or it has to appear shorter.
You're right about the roller coaster height. Expedition Everest, the tallest Disney coaster, has a maximum track height of 112 feet. The Space Mountain track (both alpha and omega, if you're talking about WDW's version) top out at 90 feet, however Paris' version (the one with the loop) has a max height of 105 feet. So yeah, a 200 foot drop wouldn't be very Disney-like.
As for your work, I like the ideas, and I applaud your execution of Spaceship Earth, but overall I don't like the park. For one, it seems you're taking all of Disney's Tomorrowland/Future World attractions and putting them together. It seems more like the 1964 World's Fair than a Disney park/area: it's an exhibition of ideas with nothing really tying them together. Granted, that was the basis for Epcot, but here in RCT park format it feels off. The pairing of the Tomorrowland and Future World attractions also throws me off. Tomorrowland has always been about what the future might be like, while Future World is more about the science and technology of today (Horizons notwithstanding). I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, it just doesn't work for me. Thus far, there's nothing in between the attractions either which makes it feel more like a World's Fair. Second, even though you're basing the facades off of the classic white Tomorrowlands, I can't recall a single facade from those days that were this flat. Even though they were white and boring, they had little things here and there to spicen them up. Alot of your structures appear to be you building shapes out of quarter tile blocks. This wouldn't be a bad thing either if it weren't for the lack of variation between structures that have completely different things going on inside. The exterior should say something about the show inside, yet I'm only picking that up through the microscopes of Adventure Thru Inner Space. Everything else is just a shape with color patterns here and there.
I do like your flowers, however. Very Epcot-ish. Keep going because even if I'm not liking it so far, I do want to see it finished. -

Thanks for the input Highball. I'll try to do another tweaking session in the next couple days so that things don't look so plain & non-discript. You're advice made things quite obvious about these issues, and I appreciate that you took the time and explained it to me.
And for the most part, you're right. It IS supposed to be a blend of the Tomorrowlands of yesterday & today. Plus some of the better attactions from Epcot as well as other parks, plus a few ideas of my own thrown into the mix. So I can definatly understand that there is a level of confusion concerning that.
@ Luketh:
As far as The Incredibles Coaster, (TIC) I've created several versions. More than what I'm presenting here. I must have at least seven different versions. But for the most part, I've included four of those. Because the rest were just development versions that brought the designs up to these versions.
I've included two different versions for the three areas I hope to place them. 7, 9 & the 6/8 area. First, the 6/8 area... Pay no attention to the station styles. It doesn't really matter to me what style the stations are, since the stations will be enclosed anyway. The next aspect I'd like to point out is the empty space in the 7/9 area.
And the next two could be placed in the 7 or 9 areas of the map. The first track is the original concept track design.
This is the second concept design. It's a bit longer, has a virtical loop and an inline twist... But no interlocking corkscrews, and that's sorrta what I wanted to feature for TIC.
I like the tracks that are in the 6/8 areas moreso than the 7 & 9 areas. Mostly because those tracks are spread out more, and not so compact, that it's too tough to build a structure for them. The interlocking corkscrews are mirrored, between the two designs. I wanted to push the interlocked corkscrews up close to the midway.
When I was putting together If You Had Wings, and Adventure thru Inner Space, hindsight became 20/20. I noticed that I pretty much chewed up all the plots of land that IYHW and ATIS are sitting on. So there's pretty much no opportunity to have attractions along a stretch of the surrounding midways. Pretty much just a blank space. So I'm going to have to figure out what I can do about that, so those midways don't become featureless blank walls with no attractions.
So, instead of making the same mistakes over again in the 6/8 area, I left a blank area somewhere along the center of the midway along, what would be, the back-side of the coaster, so perhaps an enclosed food court, or some other flat ride attraction can be placed there... so that area of the midway won't seem so barren.
If you noticed the double-wide midway that surrounds Mission Space in my previous post, you may have noticed that there is some space to the side that would work out well for a food court or whatever.Edited by Wolfman, 10 September 2009 - 11:43 PM.

your structures are decent sort of blocky, but that's all there is... the park is sort of boring. no landscaping, no real themes.
the buzz lightyear ride is really ugly imo.
anyway, the giant circle path if pretty impressive. -
Wolfman Offline
Yeah, there's nothing more that I'd love to put in, than a lot of landscaping. But I would have to replace it all if I do anything with zero clearance. So to cut back on a lot of repetative work... I opted to save the landscaping with anything big... like trees... until last.
I'm kind of tired of explaining that. (sound familiar? doing work over & over again?) So it's the last time I'll explain it. So if it's mentioned yet AGAIN... I'll just link to this post for the assholes who can't be bothered to read the entire topic. -

Here's The Incredibles coaster structure. Never mind the futuristic theme. You guys can't seem get your heads around it. It's called MINIMALIST? It means, clean... void of details, symplistic. Nevermind. I'm wasting my time with people who just don't get it.
Here I tried to use a Frank Lloyd Write style of archetecture. -

people dont get it because its not clean and polished.Minimalism and lack of attention are 2 very different things.More consideration on all parts is needed otherwise this will just look like another dated park -

It's not being "ignorant". In essence, I'm sticking to my guns, and that bugs the hell outta you guys. So instead of working with that... (working with the vision, and making suggestions,) the only response you can muster up is to fire out insults. It really shows how childish and self-centered you guys really are.
But don't fret. There are a lot of other topics that has brainless zombies who are only too willing to accept your visionless opinions. -

you know, when i first saw some of your posts, i said i can respect this kid, but with that last post, all respect is lost. -

Hey man, I was starting to like this topic, but once you start insulting everyone, than all respect goes down the drain. All I said was "I'm sorry but those trees look very ugly." -

Dude, take people's advice and chill. Take a break from playing RCT and NE for a while. Thats what I did and it's helped me calm down a bit. Also, because you are carrying the Disney tag with this project, you're gonna get shit thrown at you. No one has insulted you, so there's no need to insult people back. You were the making accusations. People are trying to help you interpret real life examples into RCT. Just because you see all white in real life, doesn't mean it will look good in RCT. As for the project, it sounds cool, but I'm just not a big fan, nothing in it says Disney to me. As Highball said, it's more of a Worlds Fair than aynthing else right now. -

Honestly man, just leave the fucking site. I have seen way to may people like you go back and forth on this site. Your god damn ego is too big and you're too self centered to take anyone's advice. I can see about building for pleasure and all, but you not saying that. You're basically saying fuck off to anyone who can't seem to like your work. Well let me tell you this, just because it took you 8 hours and 400 block pieces to make space mountain, doesn't make you good. Attention to detail and atmosphere is what helps makes a park and this one has none of that. So I'll give you one more chance in my book for you to get your head out of your ass and start being respectful and let people help you. Because dude, if you start being a dick to people, no one will comment on your work, so be happy people still are.

If I don't like the advice given, OR if I don't think it works at this point in the park development, then I'm not going to use it, OR not use it right now. Just like anyone else, I can take advice or leave it. Call that a big ego if you want to. But it's my choice to accept any advice on an individual basis. Maybe I didn't make that clear enough for you.
I never said that I'm not taking advice whatsoever. I do take advice. The simple fact that I'm using colors is evidence of that. And I have also taken advice on a coaster I recently included. I posted a series of coaster designs, and asked advice on which one I should use. And I used it. So this whole claim that I'm NOT taking advice just doesn't hold water.
Just because I'm not taking EVERYONE'S advice, and jump on it RIGHT AWAY, this somehow translates into some sort of EGO issue. Ultimately, it's my choice. Nobody else's. Why is that sooooo fucking hard to get that idea through to you people? So get off my case about it. Because you're talking through your ass.
