the water object holds a palet which is for the whole game. so if you leave most of it black (what you probally did) rct2 can't find the right colors so it will leave it black.
for example. this one makes rct2 darker. the menu purple and the background white.
(to use it. go to the SE and to the water picker. there select the "darker rct2" )Attached Files

That screen posted actually looks pretty cool. Very futuristic/other world, interesting. -

I still think it would be cool to make decent black hole land..

Cena and Kong, shut the heck up.
Fuck off....he asked for a tut for the "PalMaker" so I figured he was lonely and needed a pal. Shit flying over your head is no reason for you to tell me to shut up. -

Joezia, download RCTM 1.3 and install that, with all options on, then go ingame, and see at the land tab what you have there
*Cena hopes Levis and JJ aren't going to sue JoeZia* -

I figured out how to make black hole land. some of the colors are messed up, but it surely can be worked around.

you know it's actually possible with hex editing to get black land already without a other dat.
its even possible to make transparent landtiles with hex editing. -

^How?
@cena: sue me? How the fuck would they do that even if they wanted to? This is a completely different way of doing it, thus its not plagurism. -

by changing the landtype to values which aren't defined by the game normally.
there is space for a total of 16 landtypes. and they aren't all used. if you have the right one you will get transparent ground.
also by changing the "view" of the landtile you can make it black and undergroundview etc (works untill you select one of those).
or you could simulate a blackhole by changing the first byte of the landtile to FF -

Ouh hey, that's quite beautiful =)
I might set up a second installation of RCT on a VM and test some parks with it =) -

you dont need a seccond instalation.
only download the .dat file and select it as water instead of the normal water (or parkdat it in).
I was experimenting with this also. only I was going for darker(which seems to be harder because of the palet
).
think this can be very intresting. only I hoped nobody would think of it soon so I could use it in a competition or something like that.

Really nice! This might become useful actually, I already got a park in mind for which I could use it. -

That's the first thing I find interesting JoeZia. Now put more time into the usefull things -

If anyone has a palette they want just ask (pm or here). I can make within seconds. Some requests will be invalid data, I'll inform you when that happened, thus your request can't be met.
A simple change in hue is always valid that I know of.
Brightness, contrast, and saturation are usually invalid, unless the saturation is brighter aparently.
I made darker rct2. It is invalid data when I make it (in a different method every time I attempted). Levis, just use parkitect's palette like GigaG brought up ;-)
As for inverting the colors, that's invalid as well, and my glitched palette wasn't color inverted. I just didn't use an image and it made valid data anyways (one that was made by a glitch with palmaker)
Any questions just ask, I have photoshop that makes the job easily done. -

Vibrant RCT? I like it. Makes a bright, happy feeling without changing the colors too much. -

I thought liampie would like this.. some of the colors that would normally be brown are now dark orange (your fav color liam!)
Thanks guys, I'll trie making more useful objects XD -

This is really exciting, it looks like a completely different game with all the new colours. I'll definately take a look at using this in future projects!
