object folder, water tab, or in a sv6, you need to replace the previous water palette used (e.g. WTRCYAN.dat) which you probably didn't do.

Just put it in the ObjData folder. Then you choose it in the SE and voila the colours change. You can also open up saved games in the SE and switch from whatever water type is used to the vibrant one to see how it looks, Ive tried it with Mayra and that was very interesting. I guess you can parkdat it in aswell.

Whe i put it in the objdata folder i get the error trapper. When i replace the WTRCYAN.dat with the vibrant.dat parkdat freezes, wtf?

did you use update headers afterward?
make sure you first click update headers before you save it.

@ cena -> everyone does that. its no problem. I always encourage when people try to discover things on theire own so I hope this will inspire people to do new things. so I dont mind helping when they have problems. in this case its a problem which joezia probally couldn't know cause it has to do with the internal working of the game.

Levis: As soon as i double click on the vibrant dat it freezes, i cant do anything after i replace the wtrcyan
  • Levis%s's Photo
    you mean parkdat freezes ?
  • Goliath123%s's Photo
    Yes
  • JoeZia%s's Photo
    1) I did it easy as chicken noodles with version 1.6. try that.

    2) If you have 1.6 try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. That means download it again, your old parkdat is somehow dammaged.

    3) If that doesn't work, try reinstalling the dat file.

    4) If that still doesn't work: it may have to do with your version of windows, some scanner that's blocking it, or some file that hates it when you trying to use my vibrant data.

If Levis can't help, perhaps an admin will.

    OS ?
where do you have the vibrant rct2 .dat saved

    you can replace other things?

the vibrant rct2 does work ingame if you select it in the SE?

you can open the game normally?

    you use the replace option?

you know for sure you try to replace WTRCYAN.dat (with slottype P) and not a object which looks like the water?
  • Goliath123%s's Photo
    Windows XP

its installed in the rct2 folder, not the objdata folder because when i put it into the objdata folder i get the error trapper

    Yes

I can't select it in SE as i cant play the game with it in the objdata folder, the error trapper happens when loading

I can open the game when the vibrant.dat is not in the objdata folder

    Yes

    Yes
  • Levis%s's Photo
    well there is your problem.
download the vibrant.dat again and put it in your obj data folder. if that gives error trappers then your problem lies theire and it has probally something to do with to many objects or a corrupt plugin.dat
  • Goliath123%s's Photo
Not working even after i reinstalled rct2

    i give up
