General Chat / Call of Duty: MW3

So Yesterday I strolled into Gamestop to be assaulted by everything MW3, posters, shirts, everything short of the game. I also just saw the trailer, and thought, "Hey, a reason to play CoD". The trailer is stunning in my eyes.

Modern Warfare 3 Trailer

It seems to revolve around Ghost's decisions, and somehow causes World War 3. It looks just as, if not more, detailed than MW2. All I can say is I hope it has more balance than MW2.

Any opinions, discussions, queries? I'm really excited for this.

Yes I indeed think the MW2 had many unbalanced things and I'm hoping Infinity Ward fixes this. I'm hoping this will smack Treyarch in the face so they get the idea too. Looking forward to this and BF3.

I was going to start a thread for this eventually. I'm glad to see Infinity Ward back to continue the campaign for the Modern Warfare series. I'm an avid multiplayer gamer so I hope Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software can produce a mean online experience. I believe the Modern Warfare series could only get better.

Some dude in my school has started to count the days down.

Fantastic looking locations, but I can't help but think this is 'just another CoD' game. Sure everything is new, but I don't think it will be too different from any other.

Regardless I'll be getting it to finish out the campaign as that's the sole reason why MW2 was so great imo. and Hans Zimmer better be doing the music again.

I hope it is better thatn black ops and mw2 but im kinda getting bored of this series. its quite unrealistic first off and the graphics are just okay.

Just a question,was there ever here a "hype" when Halo Reach or Halo 3 were announced?

Comparing Modern Warfare to Black Ops is like comparing RCT2 to RCT3. Two separate developers with different motives.

I Really hope that you can destroy buildings in the online feature. Like in Bfbc2

Well,the trailer looks promising,but i must admit I`m a halo nerd(bought reach legendary today)but it looks pretty fun.

no chillsons, that wouldn't be good at all.

believe it or not, the success of COD lies with it's simplicity and easy to handle gameplay. it has wonderful controls and movement flow which makes it easy to grasp. if you wand destruction physics, go play battlefield. hell, i'll play with you, i fucking love that game. i have a video on my channel about it.

read a first preview today that states it might actually be too much of a CoD.

haha untrue. I played the first one because COD always had good single player campaigns (I played 1 and 2 but not 3)... MW1 was COD4 and also had a cracking single player it just also happened to have excellent multiplayer
so I bought MW2 expecting more of the same..... boy was I sad.

MW2 is still my favorite. I prefer it to Black Ops, both offline and online. Was never much of a fan of zombies, so spec ops (mw2) > zombies. I like MW2 online better than black ops as well. Have yet to finish the Black ops campaign so I'm unsure if ill like it more or less than that of mw2, but i do know the latter was a fantastic campaign in my eyes.

i really have got to face this fact: COD4 was an all around sensational game. one of my favourites. MW2 made no fucking sense, and Blops had a brilliant idea but executed it so poorly.

this is how it goes.
Infinity Ward has better online play and treyarch has better story modes.

looking forward to the new cod even though blackops only came out months ago...
