Fine. Don't care that you don't give a shit about single player. Myself and many others do.
It doesn't even have to be single player. All i want is a bloody story/campaign mode that makes sense. Valve and Bungie have shown how to do it over and over again with Co-op campaigns that are engaging and fun with good storylines. Infinity Ward can deliver drama and action but they've completely lost their ability to tell a story.

COD wouldn't have got where it is now without single player, the multi player keeps it where it is.

I was hoping for zombies, but this will have to do.

on the zombie topic this relates to another thing I HATE Infinity Ward for doing....

I have always owned the COD games on PC's (apart from COD3 obviously). I have always much prefered the way you can pick servers that you like/know. Pick servers with friends on them using an easy list of dedicated servers instead of the usual automatch system used on consoles. Infinity Ward got rid of this in MW2 so they gained more control over the content on servers and their DLC delivery system.

Now my main beef with this is not the terrible automatch MW2 on the PC shipped with (Although it was shocking at first) but the fact this has removed all the creative servers which you could join when you wanted a laugh.

Zombies in the treyarch games came from the zombie mods people made for COD4. There were servers where you could fly and servers where one shot killed. Even servers where everyone just had rockets.... Now sure its not for everyone but it provided amazing causal gameplay when you didnt want to dive into the gritty normal multiplayer.

On top of this it almost completely killed the custom map servers. Sure there are a lot of lousy custom maps but there were some incredible ones.

In essence they completely killed off the modding scene for COD. Valve showed the world how to embrace and make money from the modding scene with Counter Strike, Day Of Defeat and Natural Selection to name a few.
This is the main reason i rarely play COD online now and stick with Battlefield.

Rumor has it that MW3 will have dedicated servers. As an avid MW2 player I am looking forward to this because the host migration in that game is terrible compared to Black Ops. I have pretty much given up on Black Ops as I have no desire to buy the map packs and the stock maps are pretty terrible aside from a few. Not to mention, the currency system kills the aspect of working for attachments and camos. Therefore, I hope MW3 goes back to its roots of the COD 4 days as that is, IMO, the best COD ever made. I also hope that the map packs will consist of a few COD4 maps like those in MW2. Some I'd like to see with the new engine are Ambush, Backlot, Crossfire, and Pipeline. I am excited for the return of the classic mp5 and g36c but I'd also like to see an assortment of new weapons as well. Regardless of the games ratings, I will be buying both Battlefield 3 and MW3 this fall and intrigued to see which will be a better game.

As some of you may know, Call of Duty XP has just taken place this weekend in LA. The event leaked a massive amount of information and spoilers for the multiplayer. There are so many things that have changed since MW2 that I couldn't even begin to give the game enough justice. That being said, there are a couple of videos that provide a lot of information:

I hate CoD. Team Fortress 2 is MUCH better IMO.

Anyway, I do respect what you want to play.
But when it DOES come out, I might see people camping outside of GameStop, if I pass by one.

After playing a game of Team Deathmatch and going 54-3 on Jungle in Black Ops last night and watching all the new videos on www.callofduty.com/mw3 my anticipation for this title is increasing exponentially day by day. Gonna be making the purchase of the hardened edition of the game to acquire all of the map packs and premium membership of Call of Duty Elite for a year. I suggest this idea because based on the CoD website, it claims they will have 20 pieces of Modern Warfare 3 DLC delivered over a 9 month period. The DLC is part of the premium membership of Call of Duty Elite which separately would cost $50. Add that to the game ($60) and you're looking at $110. The hardened edition is only $99.99 and you also get a fancy case and some avatar jazz.

i know. and i wanted gold guns. i am NOT going to prestige in cod4. i am fond of my camos. i prestiged once in that ages ago, obviously.

oh. well then, cod is good too. (just beat black ops for the first time )

black ops had the best storyline since cod4. mw3 looks like explosion porn so probably won't be too awesome in the story department.

^yah, I was shocked at the reznov thing, but I predicted the interrogators correctly. quite fun to play through too, I don't even mind going back to get some achievements. unfortunately I don't have live right now so I can't really play online.
