Coming from a fellow Columbian, I know she worte "Whenever, Wherever." 7 of the songs on the album are just English translations of previous tracks in her career. "Suerte," which was written by Shakira back in 99' was translated, with the help of her producer, into what Americans know as "Whenever, Wherever." So yes, she did write those lyrics along with writing or co-writing every track on her album as she has done with her past 8 albums.
How cool is that verse...Lucky that my lips not only mumble
They spill kisses like a fountain
Lucky that my breasts are small and humble
So you don't confuse them with mountains
Lucky I have strong legs like my mother
To run for cover when I need it
And these two eyes that for no other
The day you leave will cry a river
But do you really think she wrote that? -

Here's a song for my fellow metal fans:
Squint your eyes to see clearly. Blur reality to make it real
Let focus go from your deceiving eyes to know what's been concealed
We've all been blinded - Subjects to visual misinformation
A systematic denial of the crystalline
To see the fine grain, to read the hidden words
The context of parallel truth - Devoid of fragmentation
Our light-induced image of truth - Filtered blank of its substance
As our eyes won't adhere to intuitive lines
Everything examined, Separated, one thing at a time
The harder we stare the more complete the disintegration.
Dissolution
Eyes re-opened, Reasoning focalized, Receptors activated
Perspectives distorted
The ladder beyond our grasp
The twin-headed serpent forever hidden
Where's the true knowledge -
Where engines of the sane & insanity merge
The clarity. The unity
Reality untouchable, transparent, invisible
to our fixed, restricted fields of vision
Existence taken for granted. -Absolute
Possessed, owned, controlled
By the common sense-infected rational gaze
Onward forever we walk among the ignorant
Never stray from the common lines
Meshuggah - Rational Gaze -

Right... what is so obscure about the music I listen to, again? I'm still trying to figure that one out. In fact, most of what I listen to I heard on the radio, saw a video for, or downloaded/streamed off the internet.Gardner dislikes anything that isn't extremely obscure or isn't fucked-up jazz by a psycho who thought he was from outer space. And, he's the only one besides Duke who still has a hard-on for Madonna. Her music, that is.
And if you had the amount of time to kill that I do, you'd know about all my 'obscure' bands as well.
Whatever.
Anywho, Tool does indeed suck. As do all the other bands mentioned here, for the most part. And I don't like Madonna! Just her producers. And video directors. And stylists.
So screw you! -

Dude, give us a reason. Because Tool is a part of our lives. We'll take it personally. And we will kill you.Anywho, Tool does indeed suck.
So says Git. -

Dude, they are just opinions. Nobody really ever asks for backing unless it's an insult.. To someone that says "Opeth rocks!!!!!" I doubt anyone would ask why they think so. Besides, Chauncey does not need to justify himself to you, or to anyone. If you don't like what Chauncey does, then leave. Nobody is making you stay. Bitch. -

I was joking around. Moreso making fun of Git's silly post-script comment about Tool fans being fun to fuck around with. I really couldn't give a shit about if Chauncey likes Tool or not. There are more important things to worry about. Like Cheez Whiz.
And while I'm talking about Cheez Whiz, Beck "Loser" is a brilliant song. As is most every other Beck song ever.
