sorta good but not really that great players unite!

  • trav%s's Photo

    Rookies are hungrier for it.

  • RCT2day%s's Photo

You're willing to try CSO, RCT2Day?

I'd do it, Liam.  I've done it before, there were just too many options and directions to go, you know?

  • In:Cities%s's Photo

    Pros:

    - Highly productive in H2H6 [See Zombieland, Avatar, Busch Gardens New World]

    - Occasionally have cool ideas.

    - I work for Disney.

    - I can grow a mean beard.

    Cons:

    - I don't know hacking life.

    - Kumba is probably going to draft me regardless, so this is irrelevant.

  • Kumba%s's Photo

Yeah, but I'll wait till right before the other captains start to really consider you. That's key.

  • Austin55%s's Photo

    Pros

-Have a large collection of pretty nice but small Schwarzkopf looping star syle layouts.

-Won greatest RCT player of the year 2014 (According to Roomie's holiday contest)

-Probably will not threaten anyone with a lawsuit

    Cons

    -Mediocre Layouts

    -No hacking skills whatsoever

    -High dedication to accurate transfers

    -Terrible with foliage

    -No idea what "fantasy" means

-Not good at working in groups

    -Colors look terrible

-Have'nt played LL in a decade

-Not even sure where RCT2 cd is

-Not very good at keeping a high park rating

    -Frequently drown guests

-Architecture is mediocre at best, imagine a shitty robbie

-Low knowledge of Disney and Disney related products

    -Listened to Macklemore once

-Will likely not play for anyone not called "Nin"

-Same time zone as most of ya'll

-Never Participated in an H2H before

-I consider landscaping to be anything with 1 tile height difference

-Low dedication to getting things done

-Don't know what the shift key does

-Have a cock which is .07% bigger than SSSammy's (Ask Louis!)

-Pretty much lack any inspiration for things that are'nt Six Flags

    -Not to hot with NCSO

-I think its ok for water to not have a source

-I think brown can be a theme

    -Pretty bad at custom supports

-I always forget to name my staff before submitting

-Never won an NE rap battle

-H2H is in the middle of storm season, could lose power

-Haven't released a proper accolade in nearly half a decade

-Most of my work is unfinished

    -Detailing is hit or miss

-Pretty terrible at flat ride placement

    -Fuck you

I expect to go top 10. See ya at the draft.

But in all seriousness here's a gallery of some stuff I may or not have posted in addition to my profile

  • MCI%s's Photo

    Cons

-I think its ok for water to not have a source

-I think brown can be a theme

    We should work well together

  • posix%s's Photo

Nice thread. Love how aware people are about their cons.

BG, yes, but "it's not good enough" doesn't help, does it?

  • Version1%s's Photo

Okay, I guess I should do a real one:

    Pros:

-Creative (more in a crazy way)

    -Not bored by boring work

-Willing to go the extra mile

    -Work pretty fast

-Wiling to improve, even if it costs a lot of time

-Eager to participate in a contest

    Contras:

-Layouts are hit or miss (more on the miss side lately)

    -Unexpierienced in terms of CSO

-Unexpierienced in terms of finishing things

-Never came close to an accolade

-No idea how proper foliage is done

-No idea how proper landscaping is done

    -Weak in terms of detailing

-Weak in terms of planning ahead

-Still have to learn how to use CSO objects properly

-You pretty much have to teach me everything from scratch

-I go back and forth between being arrogant and having massive self-doubts

    -I am german

-I will propably annoy you with the crazy ideas I mentioned in pros

-I am obsessed with spiral lifts, batwings and woddies

-One of my most visited parks has a coaster wit no station building

  • FredD%s's Photo

    FredD - RCT2

    Pro's:

    - Able to build very fast when I'm in a creative/productive mood

    - Creating an athmospheric park

    - Have time to build since I'm working part time

    - I'm Belgian, the time difference is a pro. Americans can build when I sleep and vice versa.

    - Very eager to work with other players

    - Not bad with coaster layouts (except woodies and flying coasters, I suck at those)

    - Good sense of realism

    Contra's:

    - Fantasy is not my thing

    - I suck with wooden and flying coaster layouts

    - Rockwork/landscaping is a big working point

    - Can only do some basis hacks like making entrance huts invisible

    - Uses too much brown sometimes

    - Almost never finished a project in it's original size

    - Because I underestimate the size of it in the first place...

some of these make me really excited. I forgot how much potential there could be in someone like fredd or austin who I normally forget about. I could see how well that potential would transfer in h2h to some serious awesome parks. I think I agree that the up-and-coming players really shine in h2h.

  • PizzaWurscht%s's Photo

and they say brown isn't a theme...

  • Austin55%s's Photo

For sure Pizza, you've got some excellent work.  Probably bumped yourself up everyones draft boards a few places with that. Good stuff.

  • Hepta%s's Photo

I'm going to be on a 2-3 week vacation in southeast Asia the last part of April. Also considering my little involvement with the game recently and being somewhat rusty, I can't say I would likely be one of the top contributors to a team. But I envision myself having time and inspiration to contribute 33-50% on 2 parks, maybe 3 if the time frames worked out.

Here's some of my latest work. It's not much, but it's all that's finished enough to post. Maybe I'll come up with some pros and cons as well, though I think they're somewhat apparent. Also, here is all of my historical work: http://www.nedesigns...tas-dump-place/
