Can't go wrong with a GCI. Both White Lightning and Goldstriker look great, so hopefully it resembles something like this. I guess we'll have to start a 2017 page soon?
What name did you guys vote for?

Got to say, I'm super impressed. Hopefully they keep the pacing like this, does so much for the ride to run at this speed in the second half.

That would be great but note the trim on the hill after the hammerhead which isn't activating at all and the midcourse that's also not activating. -

I think that's key. I expect this'll be an average hyper, nothing too forceful and special unfortunately.

It's finished and what a beauty. Looks like it perfectly fits in the area and will be a staple ride for a ling time.

Reviews of Lightning Rod are coming in, and people are saying it's a top ten coaster.

Yep, that picture has me convinced. I must admit that I have been rather unimpressed with what RMC has been doing lately with all their remakes, but since the announcements of both Wildfire and now Lightning Rod I have been fairly impressed with their original creations
Looking forward to getting back to Dollywood someday to ride it.

Speaking of Lightning Rod... Let's all play the everybody hate Mav game! (For those that don't know what I look like, I'm on the left pointing and winking)

You really can tell from his facial expression it must be a boring coaster. Glad we have Weerwolf!

Soooooo how was it?
It absolutely lives up to the hype. So much airtime everywhere on the ride and the pace never lets up.

Thoughts on The Joker and Storm Chaser? I think The Joker looks phenomenal, but Storm Chaser leaves a little to be desired.

They both look a bit dull to me, definitely some of the lesser RMCs. Anyone ridden them? -

Hopefully should be getting Storm Chaser sometime later this summer. Will be my first iBox RMC so I'm interested to see how it compares to Lightning Rod.
Speaking of which, for those that say that Lightning Rod has almost to much speed at the end, you're not wrong in a sense. It has been clocked at 68 mph at the bottom of the quad down, and yes, that is under normal operating conditions.
Oh and since I haven't seen it posted yet...

Monster at Adventureland. Looks like a pretty fun and interesting layout, much different than a lot of American coasters. Great ride for a small park. The interaction with the chairlift is pretty awesome to.

Some offride shots including from the skyride, and some night shots showing off the lighting package which is one of the coolest in the world.
