Not a bad year. 3 RMCs and a B&M hyper? That's pretty good. Too bad about Total Mayhem though.

I always wondered, how someone could fit a launch into a woody. Now I'm a bit dissapointed.

Relax, it's still gonna be an intense launch. Look at El Toro and Skyrush: both have insanely fast lift hills that are almost like vertical launches. This promises to be faster than those two and the airtime over the hill looks decent.

Hey guys,
So this past Sunday (12/13) I went to Dollywood and shot a video of Lightning Rod's construction area. It's kind of a funny story. My best friend and I were driving to the park and I had told her to take the old way - down Dollywood Lane, passing the Gatlinburg Golf Course (which is how guests "used" to be able to enter the park for parking, but I can't remember the last time I was able to take this road to actually access the park).Anyway, so we turned left at the bottom of the valley, which then puts you on the road running parallel alongside the County Fair section of the park, and followed it up a little bit. I didn't plan this, but I totally forgot that Lightning Rod would be approaching us and we were surprised when we were able to pass directly beneath the small portion of track before the lift hill. We drove up a bit further, and realized this part of the park was considered restricted access and had to turn around. I told Kayla to turn up into this little valley beside the lift hill, which seemed to have a few small parking lots and what I hoped would be a way out, like a back road. This nice woman told us it was the employee parking area, and helped us reroute to be able to get out.I wasn't about to let it be a waste of time, so I got out my camera as we started back out to leave this area and filmed all I could see of the coaster from my car window. It's best if you watch in 1080P.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ycwBb9_IgM -

Lol such a cute little cobra roll.
But seriously that photo really puts how absolutely MASSIVE this thing is into perspective.

So Busch Gardens Williamsburg is getting a GCI family wooden coaster by the look of it.
A decent choice i think. Sure us enthusiasts were hoping for something huge like an RMC. But the park doesnt really need it at the moment. the park has some great thrill coasters and really is lacking a good selection of junior coasters. I visited last year and beyond Grover's Alpine Express there i'snt any coaster for younger guests until Verbolten and that is still quite a large ride with a very daunting drop visible from the bridge
