Thanks GIT!!!!When will you retard hippies learn that G-Rocks is always right?
It's kinda sad if you're right, that a lot of people think Bush is stupid just because he's not very articulate. But you never cease to amaze me with your invention of words, Git. -

It is very sad if you judge a person solely on how they speak. It's not good for first impressions, and it's not good for PR, but I can care less so long as they have good policies. Whether or not he pronounces "nuclear" right has no difference on my taxes. Of course it helps, and of course people take him more seriously, but that's not a reason to just assume that he's a dumb-ass.
There are people who speak in beautiful, intelectual sentences, and citizens end up trusting them so much that they can screw everybody over. Lawyers can defend a serial rapist, if they tell people what they want to hear, and how they want to hear it. So, the fact that Bush makes stupid quotes just about every 10 minutes, may even mean that people challenge him that much more (or at least it seems to work in the case of this topic). Again, if you base an oppinion of a world leader, entirely upon how they speak, you may as well say that anyone who studders is stupid. It's a shallow judgement. It's funny to laugh at him on TV, but does that make any difference on the affects of the economy?
On the other point, the government should represent all people, voters or not. But, the citizens need to vote to let the government know what it wants. If you don't like a president, you need to vote for somebody else in the next election. Sitting on your butt and griping on New Element isn't going to make the least bit of difference. If you want to complain, you should at least be trying to change what you don't like. That is just common sense. -

Did I even contest that? Read my fucking post again. Especially this bit:It's a shallow judgement.
Bush's inability to speak as well as a seven year old, like it or not, wins him a lot of detractors. And presidents are nothing without the support of the people.Do you seriously think that Bush's negative image overseas has all that much to do with his policies?
His policies aren't that bad.
But, in case you missed it, here is what the world thinks about Bush:
"Holy fuck. A redneck hick with all the linguistic skills of a Placebo-addicted German has hijacked America."
Simply speaking (like Bush):
The fact that Bush talks like Homer Simpson is affecting his job as president.
I'll tell you right up, if he didn't talk the way he does, he'd have more supporters. If he gave clear reasons for the war on Iraq, more people would have supported it. And if he did that, French politicians wouldn't have been so eager to appease the masses by opposing it.
And that's just one example.
If you believe that the voting system is unfair and unjust, wouldn't you also feel powerless? People nowadays think that voting won't make a fucking bit of difference. Is it their fault? If you want to complain, you should at least be trying to change what you don't like. That is just common sense.
I don't think so.
What do you expect Andrew to say?

Illegal immigrants live in this country, and are citizens of this country (even if not 'legally'). As such, I feel they should be able to vote. No, I'm not being sarcastic. Saying illegal immigrants don't have a right to vote is common-fucking-sense.
Why not? Legal citizens don't do it enough anywho.
Besides, until just now I never said that they should be allowed to vote, but rather carry a legal driver's liscense. The reason is that such a thing (legally verified ID) would allow them to make the first steps towards being a legal citizen.
And the legality of a persons citizenship has no affect on their driving skills! -

George W. Bush hasn't done a single good thing for this country, and an endless amount of truly terrible things to this country. Examples? Our economy, our enviroment, foreign relations, etc.I still dont see why some people hate this George. W. Bush.... I will worship the one the gives me a good reason.
And I cannot support a president so hell-bent on war, violence, misery and destruction.
This is why I hate George W. Bush, the president. I do not however hate George W. Bush, the person, for I do not know him. Yet, there isn't anything about him which I would like... -

He never did anything bad eather. Ok some people are trying to ram airplains into buildings. Blow up and kill many americans. What do u do? i mean he is having a fucking hard time.

REASON FOR WAR
Iraq was building weapons of mass distruction. So bush says "Please stop building your weapons" well, they didn't, and keep building them. Now we could no longer trust these guys having this many bombs. We tell them to distroy them all. Remember Saddam will kill someone for looking at him wrong. So he is going to use these bombs. he says "we did distroy them all" and we check and they didn't, Now bush is trying to prevent war when iraq is trying to start. so bush tells "distroy them or we will, you dont need that many bombs and weapons". so saddam threatens us. and he have war!
Bush did not want war. He really had no choice. but, im sure if a guy came up to you at school and said, im gonna kick you ass bitch! you not going to run and hide. -

Well then we agree, don't we? Dang, you may always want to attack me, but I don't really care whether I attack you or not in my responce. I'm more concerned about people on this board who feel that a president is an idiot if he doesn't talk perfectly. We agree that it's a shallow judgement. We disagree on whether or not that's a difference between a good or bad president. Yes, it effects supporters, and (like I already said) it effects his performance as president, but some don't seem to think that deep in their reasoning.Did I even contest that? Read my fucking post again.
I've stated many times that, other than the war in Iraq, I don't support Bush at all. I don't like him, and I think that he's a bad president, but not because of how he talks! So long as he hires other people to write his peaches, I can care less. I think that he's incompitant. I hate his economic plan, and I hate that he's just putting us further in a deficit. But at least I can come up with reasons other than CG and Andrew who spout out shallow excuses that their parents told them. And I can still care less how he speaks, so long has he keeps hiring other people to write his speeches. They just hates Bush because he sounds dumb, and the economy is still in the dumps from the Clinton era of artificial stocks.
"Hait to the theif". Clever. If you believe that the voting system is unfair and unjust, wouldn't you also feel powerless? People nowadays think that voting won't make a fucking bit of difference. Is it their fault?

I expect him to say that he doesn't like Bush, and is willing to do something about it, even if it makes no drastic difference. People who organize have a voice. People who sit at home, ignore politics, don't make educated decisions, and live a life in proud ignorance have no voice. Should everyone who doesn't agree with their president, just not vote? Yeah, that'll show 'em. -

A bit presumptious? Do you really know Gardner and Andrew to able to correctly determine the reason behind their bitter hated of Bush? They just hates Bush because he sounds dumb, and the economy is still in the dumps from the Clinton era of artificial stocks.
I'll tell you right now, I don't think they hate him because of the way he speaks and because of the economy.
I mean, look at Gardner. Look at the things he says. His dislike for Bush makes perfect sense, to me at least. And it doesn't have anything to do with the way he speaks. -

oh no, not THIS again...
I already stated in a post a long while ago that we don't know the real reason for the war, nor will we ever because all the reasons given can be thrown right back at the U.S. in large amounts.
dude, you said it all. It's that forceful moral righteous bullshit that makes me hate Republicans.Aside from all of this - how does increasing taxes and providing additional welfare and free healthcare count as "restrictive". It's not "restrictive". You pay taxes no matter who-the-fuck is leading the country. Only, in the conservative case, all that money goes to such worthwhile causes as bombin' and killin'.
I'll tell you what I call "restrictive". Censorship. Having to pay for healthcare. Not having the ability to wear a towel on your head without getting tackled to the ground by some ex-jock petrol pumper.
The conservative mindset is anti-abortion, anti-drugs, anti-
You know how it goes.
Other than that...
Nobody in this topic said (or atleast meant) they hated bush for having the vocabulary of a gorilla. It's because it makes him look bad (you may be "deep"*snicker* but the rest of the world is infinitely more shallow), so pull your heads out of your asses. -

I take that back, it wasn't Andrew or CG that I was addressing about the shallow hate. It was more or less these two posts that irritate me:
The number one reason is how he speaks.I can name infinite times he's made himself and the country look stupid...
1. "Have have made good decisions in the past, I have made good decisions in the future."
2. The ENTIRE war
3. Look at the economy. And no it's not because of 9-11, it's because of 2 huge tax cuts and giving money to major corporations to bail them out of bankruptcy.
I can go on and on, especially with real points, but I will let Git get his beats in when he reads this, so he can do that for me...
Number two is so vague that it carries no weight. Does he hate that we freed Iraqis from Saddam? Does he hate that we removed a dangerous regime from the region? He may want to be a bit more specific. I can understand not liking the war, but that's like shouting "save the environment" with no specifics on how to do it.
Number three is just stupid. An economy can't fall that quickly, within a few months, because of a tax cut. Even the one that was just passed wont show it's effects for a few years down the road. We're still feeling the collapse of the .com and inflated stock prices.
and, of course this one:
Fair argument.First,he's declared war on Iraq without voting, then he tries to make peace!
Dumbest president since Nixon.
Well,Nixon had a brain.
But I don't think George does.
All in favor, say I in 100 size font.
Now, I don't know why they actually hate him. They may have very well thought out, logical, reasons. But if they don't want to sound like a raving idiot, they may want to explain them. -

Ahh yes, the weapons of mass destruction that we've found to be nonexistent. Either the Iraqis are good at hiding stuff in giant desolate desert nothing, or Bush was wrong. While I do think it's great the Iraqis are freed of Hussein's opression, I do not think that occupation is a good idea for this long, and the fact that Baghdad is without electricity, water, or anything else developed since the Dark Ages is a big mistake. Though, the citizens of Baghdad seem to look an awful like they should be occupying a zoo, what with the rampant crime and looting that isn't making the poor soldiers' jobs any easier.Iraq was building weapons of mass distruction. So bush says "Please stop building your weapons" well, they didn't, and keep building them. Now we could no longer trust these guys having this many bombs. We tell them to distroy them all. The fact that he does nothing to cool the stereotype of Texans as country cowboy hicks certainly does not help his cause. I wouldn't mind a president who's fully literate. And keep in mind, we had a fucking huge surplus after the Clinton administration. He might have had his sick ducked by a great number of people other than his wife, but people forget that our economy was in a fucking boom when he was around. You can't tell me that all that has gone down the drain because of terrorism around the world.I've stated many times that, other than the war in Iraq, I don't support Bush at all. I don't like him, and I think that he's a bad president, but not because of how he talks! So long as he hires other people to write his peaches, I can care less. I think that he's incompitant. And that whole speech from the aircraft carrier was just a PR move to say, "Look at me, America! I'm a modern-day John Fucking Wayne!"

I haven't read all posts, but I read most of them and here's my two sense.
Bush:
He's a socialistn that doesn't seem to understand that even though tax cuts are good he can't go around playing socialist. The way he has deal with threats has been good, but he is nothing more thna a socialist like so many people i this country (including the Republicans). The economy is in no way his fault. It was sliding before the elction and besides, he has no control over the economy. I seem to doubt things are as bad as the media makes them out to be. IF the economy was so bad movies would be making so much money.
Electorial College:
Have you ever considered that the electorial college wasn't created because of ignorance but was creatred out the fear of democracyt. that's right, the United States isn't a democracy. It is a constitutional republic. Our foudning fathers did everything in their power to make sute that the United States was not a democracy. The ellectorial college makes sense because the United States is, as it says, a union of independant states. Because it is a union of these states why shouldn't they get to decide the leader of their union or have a say in its laws, thats why until the 17th Ammendment the state legislatures chose Senators. Until the First World War, the political enemy of the United States was democracy. A democracy is not afair system in which the people choose, it is a disease that destroys all who disagree with the masses. In dmeocracy the majority rules, well if your not the majority then your wrong, but haven't you herd, "if everybody jumped off a bridge would you?" The statement clearly states that the majority is not always right, but in democracy youw ould have to jump because the majority says so. Democracy, in its purest form, is nothing more than a lynch mob. -

Well, then the entire world was wrong, too. You seem to forget that no country, other than Iraq, said that he didn't have WMDs. None of them even doubted it. France, Germany, Russia, China, Iran, all of them said that he had weopons of mass destruction, and the UN agreed unanously on that. The only argument was how to get rid of them. France and Germany felt that we just needed to continue the inspections and the same sanctions that we'd been doing for 12 years.Ahh yes, the weapons of mass destruction that we've found to be nonexistent. Either the Iraqis are good at hiding stuff in giant desolate desert nothing, or Bush was wrong.
It is very possible that they are hidden, or that they were taken into Syria. Don't just dismiss that idea because "Oh, well, Bush is just trying to go to war with Syria, now."
Seven weeks? Should we just drop everything, leave them to fend for themselves, and allow the Shiites to run the show? Yeah, maybe we should scratch that whole "setting up a stable government" idea. While I do think it's great the Iraqis are freed of Hussein's opression, I do not think that occupation is a good idea for this long
We actually had electricity and water back in Baghdad within a few days after the regeme fell. It's not everywhere yet, but it's getting there, and we're making sure that they still have access to water and food. I do think, however, that without a dictator using their money to build mansions all around him, they will end up far better off than they were before.and the fact that Baghdad is without electricity, water, or anything else developed since the Dark Ages is a big mistake.
