You obviously don't remember where I come from either, NEBRASKA... I take anything I can get when it comes to amusement parks and coasters.
They didn't build Westcot or Port Disney because they didn't want to upstage Disneyland, it's plain and simply because Eisner wanted to save as much money as possible, budget cuts everywhere. With the millions they've poured into DCA after it opened, it would have been better to just have waited and built a different park later when they had the funds to do so.
There is an article floating around somewhere that says Eisner wanted the least amount of cash spent on it with the maximum return. The heads of the project (cannot remember who) became tyrants and brought the park way under budget, and it really shows. You can't NOT invest and expect the public to buy a half-assed endeavour as a good product.
And, sorry MantisFan, I got your park off topic. -

Disney Journey: Nevada Official Update
Trackwork for Big Thunder Mountail Mines HAS been completed, it HAS been tested, and there was no bugs in the track. Theming is also half done too. DJ:N will have a WAY different themed 'Big Thunder Mountain' ride. Plaza for DJ:A will be completed by Friday, so expect an update soon. Our camera men have taken pictures of the park, so let's venture in...
Please note that these pictures are not very recent pictures. This is when theming was not even close to finished... -

It looks like a pretty cool coaster, looking at the design, try to theme it really adventurous.
But
I dont like the straight parts in the track much, and the tunnels over the hills -

The ride looks interesting, maybe too spread out. The "trick" with Disney rides is just how much punch they pack into such a small space. You have a very large hole in the center of BTRR. I don't know if you're planning on putting the "plaza" in that spot (it would be cool if you did), but the ride seems a bit "large" (not track length, just topographically speaking).
That's all. -

Tanks you guys, I REALLY appreciate it. I CANT get rid of the red tunnel, I can only change the color, if I get rid of it, it would look ugly. Thanks Meretrix, I don't know what you mean by the "plaza" thing, but to everyone, I HAVE changed the layout a bit, and it has alot more theming...
Comments/Suggestions greatly appretiated... -

By "plaza", I mean the ride entrance and any relevant shops in the area. It would be interesting to have a ride entrance plaza for this type of attraction that was actually surrounded by the ride, with maybe a restaurant with an outdoor patio that interacts with an exciting part of the ride. Wait, I'm giving myself ideas now.....don't do any of what I just mentioned -

Another thing is to always make sure there are parts of the ride that cannot be seen from the path. This makes the ride more mysterious and exciting. Its realitic. I'm not saying this breaks that rule( I don't see any path actually), just always a good thing to know. -

I was playing around with the theming, and did some stuff.....
Meretrix -Thanks for the idea, I'll keep that in mind....
sloB -I did what you said and it turned out pretty good, not done iwth the hillds yet, but I DID make more surprising elements... -

That mine train is WAY too spread out. You really need to condense it a lot, the real BTMR takes up a surprisingly small amount of space, but how it is layered seems to make the ride seem bigger. Also this would have to be Northern Nevada unless the entire front was changed, and there isn't exactly a booming tourist population up there, so the really technical side falls apart. -

I post too much in my own thread.... oh well.
I made it spread out on purpose. The ride is the centerpeice, buildings surrounding it. So my kind of Disney Frontierland is very different, but I think it will turn out good. I have a whole story for this, but it is too long to write. I'll just put it short.
Big Thunder Mining Co. moves to Nevada and mines. It turned out that they got lucky, gold was everywhere. The population grew, and grew, until it got big, into a city named Frontierland....

You think you post too mkuch in your own thread, look at mine for project 001! Im pretty much every other poster, sometimes i even have a triple post because noone replies!Sad, i know...
Back on topic, the coaster looks good, i like the spreaded-outness. Ive never been to a disney park tho so i wouldn't now how its supposed to look. I hate the rooves on the lkift and other hills, but it might look better themed. good job so far.

I have no problem with the coaster spread out. Just make sure there are no flat parts in the land when possible.
Oh people there is one thing that is wrong in his park and that is glitchyness, which i have seen on another screen, so anyone know how to fix it? -
