it makes me laugh how people call this 'emo' trend a trend.Even if it is just a trend theres more people that stereotypically hate the whole scene (Music, way they dress etc) even tho they dont even understand the emotional rock genre.Call me emo is you like for liking and listening to some emo bands like takin back sunday, call me a scenster for liking alt and wearin tight jeans and bomber jackets.Who cares at end of the day, anyone who buys their clothes from a highstreet shop is generally following a trend...

How can Emo even be a "trend"? "Emo" music basically started around '84, '86, or so, although it wasn't called that. No. It was called "College Rock", or "Alternative", or, even, in some cases, "Hardcore". Then by '96 it was a named, ridiculed, "trend". Now it's almost '06, and, yup, "trend" again! After 20 years!
I'm not nessecarily trying to defend Emo, or everyone who calls themselves that, but Emo is not a trend. If anything, it's just gained widespread acknowledgement by the mainstream, for better or worse, which may have gotten more kids into it, who probably will move on, as most kids do, because it's not really "them".
I doubt, however, that being a whiney cunt is any more fashionable now than it ever has been. -

exactly what i was trying to state,it seems to be more of a trend to be against a music genre that youve not really listened to and dont really understand what it is than the actual people who are trying to look like band membersHow can Emo even be a "trend"? Emo is still alive, just among a whole lot of shitty bands.Emo died with Sunny Day Real Estate.
This is the part where someone says "isn't pretty much all music emotional?" and no one can come up with a reasonable answer. -

You can avert that by murdering anyone who listens to and enjoys Crazy Frog.

This has gotten a bit outta hand. You should not judge a person by appearance or by what they listen to. I was wrong for doing that, my XSinger used to listen to them all the time. I seriously can't stand them but I respect them as musicians. As for the music genre of EMO. Fake emotions don't count. I listen to alot of emotional bands MUSE, Finger Eleven, Staind, Dry Kill Logic, as a matter of fact every band I listen to is emotional. Depressed, Hate, whatever it may be its all emotion and if you don't sing with emotion you can't sing. By the way, I am not 14 I am 19. -
