    I'd like to continue the current "trend" of bumping old Spotlights by doing so for one of the more underrated ones, and I will probably look like an asshole doing it but I don't care. This still remains probably the most fun Spotlight I've ever viewed. There are ones with far better theming (with one exception that I'll get to). There are ones with more organized landscaping. But there are basically no Spotlights with more entertaining rides and a more fun overall viewing experience than this. (Maybe Mount Sinister, but that's it, and that's already been bumped. =P)

    This park is about coasters, not theming, and it's a brilliant testament to the first two words in the name of the game and one of the last ones we may ever see. Here's an interesting way to look at this park. Pick out any single coaster and look at it in isolation. Look at the way that Roomie has his coasters interacting with landscaping, theming, and even other coasters, in ways that no one else would have the balls to do (the reverse freefall going through the shuttle loop's loop, for example, or the river ride interlocking with the mine train). Or look at the layouts themselves. Grizzly Run could go head to head with any woodie that's been put out in the past year or two. And you have to appreciate how he has the guts to make Lone Warrior go that extra two thousand feet or so before finally hitting the end brakes, sacrificing a bit of looks for an incredible ride experience. This isn't a park governed by unwritten parkmaking rules or self-restrictions, like "rides can't stick out too much" or something. This park is driven by the simple love to build good rollicking coasters and have a good time playing the old game.

    Now, I said don't focus on the theming, but there is one notable exception. I'm going to come forward and say that the Jurassic Point Hotel is at least as good as, if not better than, any single building that has ever been built in RCT2. That's right. It could give JKay's Broadmoor and the dam in Aviara Cove a run for their money. The Mt. Fuji Hotel is similarly magnificent.

    So I'd like some people to comment on this unique park. We might never see another one like it, if the response to Ville des Fleuves is any indication. I can't help but think of Roomie as like the great writer who fades away into poverty at the end of his life, respected far less than he deserves. Let's hear some appreciation for the old guy.
