There's a difference between constructive criticism and being an insufferable asshole. Learn that difference. The main one I see here is "Every RCT2 player could build like that", the response to which would be, "Yeah but you fucking didn't."

I would go ahead and now strengthen my argument by pointing out similar such flaws in all the material you've submitted, but you have nothing to show for it. So hold your fucking tongue next time you want to dish out harsh advice in which you posit that everyone can build like this and then subsequently have absolutely nothing to back it up with.

There is, in my eyes, also a difference between parks, which deserve constructive criticism and parks which don't. If there were anything well done in the park, I would have pointed it out. It's hard to commit constructive criticism if someone gets positive responses for such an aweful park.

I wrote "every RCT2 player could build that", because literally every RCT2 player could build that. The only reason I haven't submitted a park yet is because I don't want to build as uninspired, simple and bad like that. An I hate the argument, that you can't crititise if you don't have submitted something. I won't sugar code anything here, because in my eyes, honesty ist a very important quality, and I'm just honest here.

Please, get out of NE, we don't need egotistical pricks, who decide to shit on other parks for no good reason, with no work to back it up.

"For no good reason" Isn't a good reason to critizise a bad park the bad park itself?

I see no bad park here. Honestly, if everyone can make something like this, why don't you go and make something like that? I mean, it's obvious why you're bad mouthing the park, because it's not the most amazing park ever and everyone can see that, so you pick up on it and try to make it seem like you know what you're talking about in order to achieve that sense of accomplishment that you so evidently long for, maybe to impress yourself, or maybe to gain the respect of your 'peers' on here. You can deny this til the cows come home, but it's really pretty obvious.

Until you do actually get off your high horse, shut the fuck up, otherwise when it comes round to it and you're looking for comments on your parks or recognition, noone will comment because you're just a twat.

The way I see it: I commented on the park and expressed my honest opinion. When I release a park, I expect the same from everyone who comments on it. That's how criticism works

I can't wait to see your work then, if you think you're so much better than this.

I wouldn't say I am *much* better than this. But I can recognize good and bad work, and that's the point here.

Okay I'll rephrase. I enjoyed this park, and if you think everyone can produce work like this then I can't wait to see your work because it'll be of at least the same quality as this.

Yes. And, being honest and being an asshole are two different things.

Apparently you can't, because the general consensus around here is that, while the park has a few shortcomings, it's an overall successful study in NCSO.

    It's sugar-coat, you moron.

Yeah, if you say so. Overall in this park there is not a single building that I would build in a park I wanted to release here.

    It's sugar-coat, you moron.

And I'm being called "asshole" here. I'm german, and I'm sorry I don't speak your precious language perfectly. I've learned that word by watching "How I Met Your Mother", and honestly, knowing this word and it's meaning is more than you could ever ask from a german.

Then when you release your first park, we'll all be so happy to critique it. Trust me.

And I'm being called "asshole" here.

    You get what you give.

okay. first of all you have not shown us anything on how you can create even mediocre buildings or have the skills to reach half of an accolade, and even if you did I'd think one would be humble enough to not ride on your fucking white horse proclaiming that you are so superior to Ling, who, in fact, partially because he has been a member of this site since 2006, knows 10 times and has 10 times the skill you have at RCT. ( i do not give a flying fuck if I just used improper grammar.)

Yes, there are ways of saying that the quality, in your only opinion, is or was not enough to reach "x" accolade, but your simply being a dick, like Posix said.

^I can ensure you, that Version1 has shown his skill in numberless skype-calls and forum posts on Coasterdiaries, where He´s a active member. His new project is pretty nice, too. At least in my opinion.

Why not stopping this shitstorm now, before anybody gets seriously hurt?
I would have sad it more kindly, bur I´m basicly the same opinion as Version1.
The buildings are all looking the same and the big brown hall looks like it´s not finished.
I personally didn´t liked the layouts (the intamin was crashing two trains to death while I watched it o.O)and the waterpark looked a bit to dark (as it was said before).
Since everybody is talking about rising NE standarts I cant see why this got bronze.

Congrats to Lin though, hopefully I´ll like your next release/project more than this one ;)

I'm not sure why some hated the splashdown building so much. Would you rather I had festooned it with useless fences all over the place? I used several past parks (CSO and NCSO) alike for inspiration throughout the park, apparently mine is just inherently worse.

Sorry you (namely version1, Fizzix, and MCI) didn't like so much, namely the foliage. The hedges are in there. In fact they are in ever single patch of foliage, all over the place, except perhaps by Il Viaggio, for which I wanted a slightly different appearance as it faded into the water park. The blockiness I believe is rather inherent to NCSO, but I guess I'm simply wrong there as well.

If you want to know the truth, I submitted this as an accolade because I was under the impression it would go through the system faster than a non-competitive one. It didn't, but hey, it won something, and apparently 15 people whose opinions I value more than your own disagreed with you. Also it remains the largest project I have ever completed, and I had a lot of fun building it (even if I kind of panicked towards the end), so... well, sorry NewElement's standards are not up to your own.

I should specify that I'm thankful to trav, Scott, and posix; though it's too bad that this needs defending in the first place. For what it's worth though, I appreciate it.
