To avoid 'influencing' my vote, I just don't read the comments until I decide myself, or in this case, I don't have to vote.

I'll save my review for after, I suppose.

my post is just as influential as anyone else's. we really shouldn't allow any comments at all then.

    This.

Loved both. Can't decide. Bravo _______ and bravo _______ , I know how stressed you both were.

Edda could have been great and could have given a close match. But there were too many technical flaws (e.g. not working queue of the water coaster). The woodie was cool and i really like the custom pirate ship. also a let down was the wannabe behind the stages at one of the edges.

Tivoli was well done and had the right amount of details. the boardwalk and the small city had a lifeful flair what i found to be great.

    VOTE: The Replacements

    Tivoli is my vote.
In the Germans' defense, I absolutely loved Edda's coaster layouts (Raganrok looks like it'd be similar Apocalypse in experience, and I love that ride), but the single-color theme was what hurt the park as a whole.
In a sentence, the park loves tan the way Kumba used to love brown. :p

Well, I'm certainly not surprised by the responses that our team's park is receiving. I will say, though, if I am going to promote like a Replacement, that the woodie is pretty damn good and if you're not watching it at least for a spin, then you're not properly viewing the park.

The general theme is Norse mythology, and unfortunately, I assume you can understand how disappointed some of our team was when we saw the Replacements do pretty much the same theme in their week one park. Add this to some snooping from opponents that was unappreciated and some issues between teammates, and motivation, time commitments, and anger got in the way of truly finishing park. I will say though that, as a team, we're still proud of what this park does accomplish, and we'd love you to spend some time to view further. Sure, it's a little rough around the edges (literally), but there are some portions that I know the parkmakers worked their asses off on, and hopefully that shows.

I haven't seen Tivoli Gardens in-game yet, but it looks excellent. While the archy along the perimeter seems basic to me, the rides all look fantastic. Hopefully if we get a chance to meet your team again, we can give you a proper match (aka kick your asses :p).

EDIT: It is a bit disappointing seeing opponents either shitting on our park or immediately attacking anyone who says something wrong about it. As far as I've read in this topic, no Flying German has challenged the opinion of someone voting against us, and let's just say that we've been shit on a hell of lot more than you guys have, both before the match and after.

    Tivoli Gardens by the Replacements

I've recently been to Denmark and whilst I can see some minor influences, I do realise how hard it is to really do a city justice in rct with so many limitations. Overall the park was fantastic and the parkmaker I have given advice to before has shown even more progression in his style and way of building that he far surpasses anyone near him at this minute in time. Loved the park, the ferris wheel was beautiful, really amazing pair of builders (I couldn't tell if there was a third) and just a really, really good park. Nin is on fire and I hold my hands up and say I really did doubt your captaining skills but please just progress because you're my favourite team this h2h so far.

Going off your post Rob I have a sinking feeling of the builder that was involved in your park and if I'm correct then I'm disappointed. Not in that persons skill but I really wanted to see amazing parks from this guy.

Sorry for talking in riddles but I don't exactly want to stir the pot.

Great match guys, loved some of the norse architecture. Some real flashes of brilliance that I've come to expect.

It was really hard to vote they are both that good, i really can't vote !

Pretty much this. This is an extremely close match-up. Really need to watch them several times tbh before I'm even considering voting xD

    At least someone understands.

I thought the pacing was fine, when was it too fast? IMO it was perfectly realistic.

Who's to say anyone on our team is done? It's Round 2; the last thing our team needs on top of all the other shit we've gone through is to have people lose faith in us because of one "bad" park. We're all capable builders, and I assumed you of all people would understand that after Spiderman last year. It just ended up as a precursor to Worlds of Tim Burton, didn't it?

Oh, and to anyone saying that the parkmakers were intentionally copying Park Asterix, no. Just no. I can see the similarities, and we wanted to match/exceed that quality, but I'd see the parks in different ways as well, with the one big similarity being a giant woodie that the rest of the park is built around. Unlike most other H2H parks this season and last, including the opposing park, the park is aimed to focus around one ride, being the woodie. Evidently, our team didn't accomplish this successfully, but to clarify, no, no one meant to copy Park Asterix, and as a team, want to distance ourselves from any previous FG team before.

^^40mph through the final small helix is a little quick, let's be honest ;)

What helix? I just watched a POV and nothing looked like a very small helix at 40 mph.
  • Fizzix%s's Photo
I live practically next door, so yes, numerous times. I don't see any of those helices being that small, though.
  • MCI%s's Photo
My vote goes to Park Edda, because I loved the small helix that much.
Are we sreiously arguing about a helix? The coaster kicks ass and the helix is fine. At least for me...
  • Fizzix%s's Photo
Yeah let's drop it, sorry for being stubborn. :p

I said it was similar to parc asterix while trying to remain original, not copying.
EDIT: or are you referring to cocoa?
