So there wasn't a single thing in our park that you liked? :'(

It's a little bit harsh to put it that way. But I did not feel it, if you get what I mean.
It's more like the park overall didn't appeal to me, ofc you have some lovely bits but it didn't work out as good to me partially because I didn't like the concept and secondly because I feel like this park put aesthetics/atmosphere over anything which made me miss a small sense of believism in this park.

Your park is brilliantly put together but I liked most of your parks way better and I also liked the replacements park better.

I hope that clears up my post.

    Parque Warner.

    Things i liked:

The entrance to the park is nice as well as other architecture troughout the park.
The Superman ride is okay, i did love the entrance to it and the path with the superman logo shape and the logo as well.
I also liked the acme rocket ride.
    Foilage is also nicely done.

    Things i disliked:

    A water ride that isn't working? :???:
    Atmosphere was lacking.
Some buildings didn't appeal, especially the ones with the overall same colour.
Some things felt unfinished, like the bridge ,or maybe it's supposed to be that way, i don't know.

    Nice work though. :)

    Corsair Veredian.

Another luxurious name from Heaven's Kitchen. :p

    Things i liked:

That duelling woody is a blast, especially the twisting drop after the chainlift hill and ofcourse the perfect synchronization at the big loops, i really liked it.
Staralfur is also very nice. The minetrain ride is nice too ,maybe a little awkward, and it was still testing mmm...
That fieldstone bridge really impressed me, especially the arched feel it has ,don't really know how you pulled that of, very nice.
I liked the architecture all around even if it felt a bit weird in some places, it still worked and felt good. We saw a lot of flying ships/houses allready but i still liked it, especially the one in the cave and the one stuck on the waterfall, nice touch.
Swamp dwellers is nice too, funny ride.

And a lot of nifty little things in the park.

    Things i disliked:

I opened the minetrain ride and i saw queing people walking through the air, what's up with that?
Same for the wooden bridge crossing the water, peeps walking on air, for me a no no.
I liked the fact of a hanging monorail being in the park ,but track elevations don't look right.
    Hvarf wasn't that great i.m.o.
The landscaping was missing some refinement in some places, i don't know if you had time or space for it, but addition of small landblocks in some places would've done wonders.

Overall great park and i liked it. :)

This thread is pathetic. This is the GRAND FINAL of H2H...we won't have another H2H for years people!

Another great park. Your team truly deserved the win.

I especially liked the inverters layout and the lovely atmosphere.

Replacements park was great too, but I was missing a big coaster with a nice layout. Theming was excellent.

I'm extremely sorry I can't leave a more detailed review, as I'm very strapped for time right now, but I loved both parks. Replacements, your park rivaled Disney Waterfront, and the realistic details were amazing. HK, there was just so much to look at. Coaster layouts were not the strongest, but everything else (including the concept) made up for it.

While I enjoyed what was there, it felt a lot more empty than I would've liked. There are a lot of bigger sections of path, and a good chunk of water that served only as a space filler. The archy was spotless, the high point of the park for me. I especially enjoyed the oriental buildings and the entrance. The rides were a real let down for me. While realistic, they were too small for me to place as E-ticket attractions, or centerpieces of the park. Loved the use of sunken trees to make new pieces of foliage. Overall, a strong park, but lacking for me.

    Corsair Veridian

I loved this whole concept. All of the airships and related details were awesome. Archy was great for the most part, and some of it was just mind-blowing. My favorites, the buildings around the element of the woodies after their loops. Just perfect. There was great interaction, between rides, paths, scenery. all of it. I enjoyed the Invert, but the dueling woodies were definitely better. Just a strong concept pulled off brilliantly, again, Kitchen. You guys truly deserve to win.

Id like to suggest that we keep this vote open for longer, as quite frankly it is a disgrace to have so few votes on the final round of the contest that practically everyone on this damn site wanted.

What happened guys? Everyone asks for this contest to happen for ages, it comes, and everyone loses interest.

We have two fantastic releases here that are practically being ignored.

Everybody got their asses in each other's faces about basically EVERYTHING. 2 teams practically imploded, one even more spectacularly than the other.

Parks look cool guys. nice work from both teams. I really like the airship in the waterfall from HK.

I'm not sure if I'm still allowed to vote, but I've decided not to base my vote on the winner of H2H on these two parks. I looked up all the parks both teams made and I sized them up as a whole. Both teams had incredible parks and tbh the decision wasn't really made any easier. I personally think that with the better parks HK outperformed the RPL, but only very slightly.
In the end HK unfortunately also had the most 'lesser' parks and the RPL being a lot more consistent. That's an indication of good teamwork which H2H is about.

Both parks are lovely and well-designed, but for me it's no competition...

No one cares enough any more, the buzz is gone. In previous years for H2H, the buzz escalated towards the grand final. In this case, it has just dropped and dropped from week 1 onwards. Even the people who signed up for this contest aren't sticking around to see it through.

Just another example of the entitled and overly critical atmosphere that's prevalent here nowadays.

If I had to pick the winner based on all the work together I'd give the title to HK.

Their team has produced the best parks overall. Whereas I would put the replacements as the most cohesive team. Both brilliant teams of which I did not expect to much. The funny thing is that they're player-wise a bit of the opposite. Liam has more of the old-school superstars where nin has more of the rookie upcoming talents.

I think H2H6 is following the same pattern as H2H5. The finals parks in H2H5 didn't get much attention either and the first two/three rounds of matches were obviously more active. As far as I know activity faded during H2H4 as well, only to live up again shortly for the semis. In this sense, not much has changed and though it's not a positive thing, it doesn't worry me regarding the future of NE. I agree with your last sentence though... People are spoiled. Criticism is good, but too much and you forget to enjoy the game, which is why most of us came here in the first place, right?
  • posix%s's Photo
It's true that the ends of H2H seasons are usually the start of a big community slump. The post-H2H seasons have always been the slowest. People who usually never played the game suddenly played to finish stuff by deadlines. Now that that's over they want to take a break from it all.

And after the collective burnout follows the rise of a new generation and a wave of inspiration. Have patience.

HK have rocked my world all season. I'm happy either of these teams would win it all but HK's have submitted some of the best h2h parks we've seen.
