Mulpje's strong routine and honed trackitecture skills allow him to easily produce a beautiful NCSO entry that knocks at the door of the top 5.

The theme you chose is classic but also a bit on the safe side. You executed it really well though! The buildings were cleanly designed, the coaster stood out nicely, and the other rides had great presence too, with some fun details throughout. In my opinion it's an examplar design, but a bit safe

Wait that's the same thing I posted about The Green Moss. It's funny how you also have a rapids ride. What grabbed me more in the green moss design was just the overall composition and esthetic

+ Rapids set piece at the start of the ride was incredible

+ The jumping peep near the height marker

    + Rapids station was sublime

+ Mountain climber as the support for the coaster was a great touch

+ Chairlift supports were so creative, hiding three angles to give the view of a vertical wooden support… genius

+ Kite Fighter was great, amazing structure

    +Parkmaking was immaculate throughout

Honestly no cons other than I loved this park, it was a damn good piece of RCT, brilliant parkmaking. Couldn’t fault it.

I was hoping to see a high-level NCSO submission, and this did not disappoint. Super vibrant with a ton of layers to explore! I really love the integration of the ride with the landscape. The foliage is great, and the architecture is nicely complementary without being overwhelming. It all frames the coaster well and creates a fun, cohesive end product. 90%

Valley of Huanglong is another beautifully crafted NCSO submission that showcases a high level of skill and creativity. While the theme itself could be seen as more generic, the custom architecture truly elevates it, helping the map stand out. The landscaping is lush and thoughtfully executed, and clever ride hacks, like the rapids entrance sign, add charm and personality. Even as someone who isn’t typically drawn to NCSO maps, I can’t deny how impressive this submission turned out.

As part of this series reviewing the fantastic NEDC6 entries, I will enter into a commentary on how the builders have decided to approach using Pacificoaster’s layout, and how those decisions compare and contrast one another. I encourage reading all my reviews on NEDC6 to get the most out of this more fragmentary commentary you will find interspersed here if you find this interesting or desire clarity.

It is so good to see so many NCSO and NCSO adjacent entries in this contest. I think it goes to show the state of the genre and how people are realising there is still depths to be plumbed for quality entries. Mulpje shows their experience and skill in this entry themed to the beautiful and dramatic landscapes of China.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the entry is that there is no music. Perhaps a small thing for some people, but I feel that it is an opportunity to add that layer of finish that needs to be present in a winning entry. That is not to say that this entry feels unfinished. The quality is extremely high, with fun and interesting techniques used to bring the theme to vivid reality. A significant macro moment is the station of the rapids ride. The lunging track of the coaster combined with the gentle curve of the trees outside make for a beautiful view. The buildings here develop the “asian buildings” meta in a satisfying way.

The dominant viewing angle appears to be “inside L”, where the cobra roll appears beneath the predrop curve. There is, of course, a footpath across the cobra roll, though this time it is much higher, accenting the corkscrews rather than the flat part at the bottom which results in a unique effect. The rest of the ride is very well integrated, with water and the rapids ride used to frame the elements and provide great layer separation.

A frustrating macro moment appears at the coaster entrance. This area forms an ugly dead end, and the entrance appears insignificant despite the cool ride sculpture. The solution to me seems obvious - allow the path to meet the rest of the path across the water forming a loop around the twist, then begin the ride entrance at the top of that loop, effectively rotating the sculpture 90% and letting the queue pass underneath it to best capitalise on the motif.

The rest of the park has several great supporting moments. The chairlift weaving by all the stone pillars makes for a picturesque moment, and the rapids weave nicely underneath the coaster, even if it has no real “moments” of its own. A more deliberate push in this area could have really elevated the entry. No more boring rapids rides, folks. Especially when you give them the best station in the whole park. The area with the blue roofs is probably the weakest area for architecture. The roofs appear kind of undeveloped compared to the brown and red roofs on the other side of the map.

All in all, this entry is very fun to look through, if lacking in a final bit of finesse to put it as a contender for best entry. I am very much anticipating your next release Mulpje, as this shows very obvious skill, intuition, and vision.

    Score: 80%, with szechuan sauce.

As a fan of NCSO, one thing I don't like about NCSO would be the landscaping, which is often blocky, bland, and crude. This map, however, nails the geology and landscaping of the region it is trying to represent. I just love the waterfalls and the mostly aquatic nature of it, it is very beautiful.

There's a lot to respect here: those pagoda roofs are some of the best; I wouldn't have the patience to do that. There are very subtle trackitecture tricks, like the motion simulator coaster staircase, the raft umbrellas, or going the extra mile in the usage of mine train coaster tracks as rope when you could've used chairlift.

It is really cool that the coaster flies above mostly water, including a river rapids ride, which it interacts with at the station. The queue is also nice, with how guests wait above a waterfall and the entrance is flanked by a dragon.

Overall composition of the park seems very well done... it seems like there are three 'layers' in terms of height if that makes sense: the buildings and mountains, the foliage, and the water. These are all organized in such a way that. despite the dense foliage, there are very few blocked angles.

In summation, my only complaints would be the overuse of shop stalls for certain buildings... imo the Sujeonggwa and fried rice shops only look good as corner pieces. Otherwise, this is a very aesthetically pleasing and immersive entry, one that I would love to visit.
