This cant be RCT!  there is not a straight line or right angle on this map.  Its just so flowing and supports an equally flowing design.  They both compliment each other so well.  I think the coaster color could have been a bit bolder to help it pull away from the rest of the map however it does work.  I wish the peeps understood the path layouts with the curviness of the fencing, hedges and landscaping as it did take a bit of that organic flow  away for me but that is not your issue.  You did what you could.

Im usually a bit critical about the surrounding area being too much of the focus from the layout in a design but this hits different for me.  It feels that this could be an area of a park that has this as the star attraction.

Overall, a fantastic design and congrats on the green name

I predicted that you'd go full CSO for this contest but wasn't 100% sure you'd deliver. As the contest progressed with no sign of monsterbux, I knew what was up. And when Jag's broke the 80% threshold with still no monsterbux, I knew that Meccha's namesake wasn't a fluke. We really need to stop calling you underrated now; you've gone from H2H breakout to a full-fledged big deal. Congrats on scoring Parkmaker with your first solo release!

+ I'm gonna address the elephant in the room. This is novel. I don't think this take on Art Nouveau architecture has ever been done in a NE release, at least to this level of accuracy and detail. I know Xeccah and friends did Parc Guell for H2H8, but it didn't go as hard on the Art Nouveau look. You could tell me this is an AVC design and I'd believe you.

+ Specifically the coaster station, carousel, restaurant, and Casa Betello Tour are architectural highlights. Trackitecture adds so much to the curvy and organic Art Nouveau look, and there's some very unconventional object usage such as roof spires, hedges, and even DKSO bones for supports. The awning over the first turnaround in the coaster is unreal.

+ Some of the coolest path work I've seen in recent times. Absolutely love the patterns on the top level. The approach leading up to said top level with the varying stair shapes and planters is such a cool sightline.

+ Sunken immelmann with the painted wall is such a slay. Also love how some of the supports have painted details on them. If you had more time I would have liked to see these details featured more consistently within the supports.

    - Unfortunately there's a lot of very rushed looking bits like some of the landscaping on the edges. I believe you mentioned time did get the better of you this build, and I'm grateful that you were able to finish and have enough finished content on the map to graze by with a green name.

    - Something about the black railings for the queues aren't exactly sitting with me. A different color or fence type or even a trim at the bottom to give it some weight would have helped IMO.

Amazing entry. Never been to Parc Guell but the source is very recognazible. A good theme to include curves and this map is curvy as hell, love it. Especially the curved mazes were wonderfull to see.

Loved the big plaza with stairs leading up to Casa Betello, would be a joy to walk there. Architecture is topnotch, super detailed and nicely shaped.

Entry to be proud of for sure.

Randomly the last of my NEDC reviews, but I wouldn't leave anyone high and dry. First off a huge congrats on the double achievements with this; parkmaker and third place to boot. Really exciting to see you jump even further into the spotlight with an entry like this.

For me personally, this entry felt like a lovechild between NCSO/DKMP styled maps and more NE-centric work. I can see both of those aesthetics in a way that I found really interesting and incredibly charming. As I've said way too much throughout my reviews for this contest, I love seeing builders push the boundaries of rct and what we think rct can be, and this was no exception. There is such a sense of creativity in form, pattern, color that is so exciting to see. I know you're probably sick of the AVC comparisons, but I really couldn't shake those vibes as I was looking at the park. It just has that same eye for unique and unexpected forms that is what sets AVC apart. In places, some of the choices made felt more limited by rct than true to the real life inspirations, but I kinda think that's the right approach. Gaudi was all about challenging the conventional form of human structures and there is a sense of creativity and innovation to the way you build this park that feels correct with that mentality. I'm a stickler for execution and those finishing details, and I won't lie that this does have some flaws that hold it back from the level of things like the top 2 parks from this contest. But, the aesthetic and unique approach to the architecture and place making more than makes up for any perceived flaws. That is to say, this felt grounded in a truly Gaudi approach to the contest and it produced a really incredible product that you should be so proud of. I definitely see this as the kind of park people will come back to time and again to explore how you crafted different things or used age-old objects in unexpected ways.

Congrats again on an amazing release and one of the surprises of the contest, very exciting to see what will come next for you.

A full-CSO Monsterbux park featuring one of my favourite artists/styles! Thank you, for this must be my lucky day! Opening up your park, the first scene is just simply stunning. Not a straight line in sight; just them curves, curves, curves. The ‘Carrusel de Colores’ is absolutely brilliantly done using that Bobsled track in combination with the Argonath Spires. A solid harbringer, because creative and fresh ideas like these are a recurring theme in your park; like the use of bones for the columns, or the use of the twisting trees and the Christmas-tree shaped Fisch-rocks used as a spire. And the list goes on, and on, and on. Your work is just oozing creativity.

A second recurring theme is the great use of colour. There is A LOT going on colour-wise – staying very true to the source material – in the archy, the mosaics and in a lot of the gardens/foliage (all splendidly done), but you use enough light beige path and large natural grass areas to bring balance.

But there is always room for improvement, right? Well sure, but not much. I think the empty plaza in the curve before the mid-brake could use a reason to be there (either a flat-ride or café or something), and the grey patch of BotH on the swan-ride seems a little out of place (should be either a couple more of those or none at all IMO). The rockwork on the right backside was a bit crude (though, I love the use of layering in the colours). Also, I loved the building with the blue-coloured roof and coloured bones on the right-side, but from the other angle it’s quite crude and missing some pieces. But I think none of these really come as a surprise and are probably more related to the limitation in time that is part of this kind of contest.

In conclusion, you achieved to captured the Art Nouveau style. Which is so hard with RCT's restrictions. So again, I am so impressed how you pulled this off and congratulations on third place on NEDC6 and on becoming an NE Parkmaker.

I feel like time and deadline pressure was the only thing holding this entry back from the tier drop off the top two entries (as I saw it)

The theme is my 2nd favorite of the contest, after Xtreme's, as I have wonderful personal memories in Barcelona.

To me, this entry is what happens when someone gets their training wheels in DKSO/NCSO and is forced to being super inventive with object and ride usage. And then, when they get the CSO options, they just see things that most people wouldn't and use objects in such wonderfully inventive and creative ways.

The carousel is perhaps my favorite building of the whole contest, it just works in such a lovely way.

Just a little more time, polish and neatness and this was right up there with the top two, I loved exploring this and congratulations on parkmaker monsterbux - no-one made such a massive jump this NEDC as you did (at least in my eyes, you've probably always been this good I just rudely didn;t notice!)

Thank you everyone for taking the time to go through my entry and leave some feedback and love!

I agree with your points of critique as they point out areas I would have definitely polished had I had more time. Alas, time got the better of me in the end but I am still SO happy with the result.

I absolutely adore Gaudi's architecture, and I simply just wanted to convey it in RCT because I like a good challenge and had possibilities with CSO! There were also a lot of firsts for me - first time working with CSO path, CSO supports (generally supports really), different sized trim objects and generally just a lot of unfamiliar objects.

I would like to leave some of the images (real or AI generated) that I used here, for those that are interested. I think it shows more of what I was trying to do and the struggles I had getting there.

    Carousel:
Initially I wanted a pavilion for eating in an odd shape. Quickly found out roofs for an odd shape is out of my skill level. Made it round (ish) and liked it better as a carousel. Though I did have and extra structure at some point I just couldn't really fit it anywhere.

Casa batllo (I may have spelled that wrong in the park):

This one exists IRL. Roof took 1000% brainpower.

    Restaurant:
    Made with Dall-E. Pretty.

There are many, many more references I could show, but the post would be way too long. So all there's left to say is thanks for all the support!

Again, very few people would be able to translate these into the game with the fidelity you achieved.

The landscaping and architecture in this one are really strong, and the map is composed beautifully. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the layout and presentation.

That said, I wasn’t totally sold on the color palette. It felt a bit too bright in spots, and I think a slightly different palette might have made the whole thing come together better for me personally. Also, the building with the blue roof didn’t quite do it for me, but that’s a minor detail in the grand scheme.

Honestly, while this entry got a lot of love from others, it just didn’t quite click for me and I can't exactly put my finger on it as to why. Maybe it’s some leftover trauma from our previous encounter with a Gaudi park during H2H8, but I just didn’t feel the same level of excitement here. I felt like some of the curvy pathing felt a bit forced in places, even though this is completely on brand for the theme. Maybe I am just not a huge fan of Gaudi.

I don't want this to come across as overly negative. It is a really good map and your execution is excellent! It just didn’t blow me away as much as it did for others.

As others have said, this was a major surprise of the contest for me. Aside from the discord chats you were still fairly unknown to me, and I had no idea you were capable of such beautiful RCT (please forgive my ignorance). That said, the park is wonderful and refreshing, and a worthy contender for the top spot. It's fantastic interpretation of the source material, with enough content to require longer viewings to enjoy it all. Congrats on both the release and the Parkmaker title!

Extremely impressive entry, monsterbux! Congrats on the third place podium spot, I don't think anyone would have predicted that outcome at the start of the contest but you've really stepped up and the result is fantastic. The map is lovely, architecturally sitting on the more experimental side of things in its object usage, a lot of pieces used in novel ways (the spiral hedges as pillars for example) that come together to produce some super interesting buildings. The best of these for me is the café by the hedge rows, at first feeling a bit chaotic given the multiple levels and parts but ultimately coming together very well as a whole piece. Though some buildings didn't quite work for me, such as the diagonal one by the dive loop which ends up too messy for me to gel with. As for the coaster, there are some great moments like the turnaround after the cobra and I love the funky support columns you peppered in. I think having some mown grass in the centre may have helped also rather than the rougher look it currently has. Nonetheless, well done on scoring Parkmaker with this! Very excited to see what you'll explore in future with the game.
