To be honest, just change the paths and it will be a lot better.
I totally dig this.
Foliage is a bit random, not certain on the paths, but the ride interaction is pretty neat.
do you have a certain path in mind that will make it better? Like no lined path? I use this path because it fills up the entire grid so it wont look sloppy next to fences and such.

Try tarmac without the lines and see how it looks. It might still be too grey, so maybe tarmac with a 1-path tile border of something different might work better in that case.

I think it's nice! Personally though, I would like it if the pond inside the helix was recessed into the ground by a unit. The way the water lines up with the ground exactly looks very strange. I also agree with the other that if you changed the path it would look better. Maybe you could break up the wide paths with some wide planters here and there?
I hate the hyper's ending and I still think the path is completely ruining the vibe. Foliage is a touch rough, but other than this, I like this.
Please, please mess around with different path types to find one that works better.
