I think you should change the green of the coaster. something about it makes it seem really unfinished to me. I think the ground underneath it needs more variation of colour as well. it looks a bit like back in the day when the benches were all brown until you finished them. I think the lack of context for the rest of the ride isn't helping as well. perhaps it makes more sense in wider view.

Love the archi, and love the more realistic flowing barrel roll, how does that look in action considering its not possible within the game to my knowledge?

I love the roof tiles facing both sides, that's a great trick. I agree about the green, everything else looks awesome.

Shinobi, Shinigami, Fuji and variations (Mount Fuji, Fuji Coaster, others...) A quick search for japanese/chinese culture elements, temples, cities/mythology, animes, movies or simply asian roller coasters can give you plenty of ideas for your rides, but avoid childishness like Naruto or Shen Long as much as you can lol (Long = Chinese Dragon)

From the tags (and the sign on-screen), I think alex intended to theme the area after China, so I don't think Japanese names would work. Wouldn't want the area to become generic Asian now would we?

Sorry, but my entire Chinese naming potential got spent on Hong Hu, so I don't have any ideas :p

That inversion looks really great. I do agree about the green but except from that this is looking so promising. I know im gonna love this park

Nope, that's because I'm more attached to nipponic culture than chinese's so I simply gave him generic examples of how I do when searching names for anything really, which I think helps more than just throwing a limited list of names he might not like. He can filter my commentary as pleases him so the advices are still valid!

    Shenlog!!!

This screen is mostly quite nice, but that barrel roll is so hideous it makes me want to low-vote this screen.

    do it. be a BADASS

  • chorkiel%s's Photo

    You'd like that, wouldn't you?

I don't mind the green, actually. Perhaps a tone down on the abrupt green, it might allow for some less...'blinding' tones.

I love how this is full NCSO. The pagodas are my favourite. They're all well made. This is some great work, Alex! Keep it up!

I'm still unsure about the green. The rest is great!

Love it. The rooves really sell it and I'm totally stealing those eventually. Composition-wise it gets a bit cluttered, but from a peep perspective the build up to the coaster station is really nice, crossing over the rapids, weaving through the buildings, and so on. I also really love the subtle inline twist to downward spiral merge as it eases the transition really nicely. Any chance you could fix that floating wooden track piece?

I like the green, but maybe not just as rails for the coaster. I'm assuming you've tried it as the entire track piece? It's the brown-green-brown that's killing it for me currently.

I like the green for the coaster, i would prefer a different color for the tents though, so they can pop up a little bit more! Otherwise great stuff, sadly i'm not good at naming myself, so someone else might need to help you here.

I changed the rails to dark(rich) red in the end, it works much better.

@sssammy: Basically the train follows a hidden track, which doesn't actually invert, it just switches banking. It's looks fine, IMO.
