this reminds me of Blackpool from what I can remember of the time I went there. I loved the overall feel and it translates very well into RCT.
Good stuff, your individual houses could do with 1-unit of unique trim under each of the crown mouldings though. Each building seems to be 1-unit too tall because of that blank space - you could alternatively lower the crown moulding a unit and then use the half 1/4tile roof overhang on top of it.
Nice contextual surroundings.
You nailed the atmosphere on that little back alley. I can picture the chavs throwing eggs and bolting on their mountain bikes
It must have been frustrating to build this, since something like this would normally look boring. I imagine that you had quite a challenge to make everything look varied and interesting, and not monotonous. I think you did a good job!
I still think there is room for improvement. The facades are a bit flat and in general it lacks refinement. I'm aware that facades normally are this flat in real life, but unfortunately they don't translate very well into RCT.
Suggestions:
Try a different roof texture
Paint some of the window trims in a different colour than grey
Add light posts
Add cars
Add some window flowers
By the way, I love the tiny windmill!
I agree with Stoks and Lagom, finding those little details that can make the buildings feel a bit more unique would really put this on the next level.
Those look ugly, so you're doing a great job! Listen to Stoksy and Lagom. Also, I think (some of) the buildings need to look more neglected.
