Description
In April 1967, an aging steam locomotive pulls a train full of lead ore through a remote part of the American southwest. It travels on tracks of rusted rails and rotted ties, traveling near an old decaying collection of buildings.
This is all that remains of Cerro Plata Arizona, a once thriving silver mining town. Where there was once a boomtown of thousands of people, all that remains is a husk of broken buildings. Even the railroad, the only living piece of this relic of the past, is dying as the supply of lead dries up.
After the silver mining ended fully in the 1920s, it seemed the town could’ve lived on, featured as the backdrop of multiple western films. Those days are gone though. The country’s fascination with outlaws and gunslingers is far distant, when Americans can see technological marvels like people going into space.
The Galena Mining Company has sought buyers for years, but potential buyers either don’t have enough, or want it for nothing. Perhaps though, a new visitor to this desert landscape might bring a new era to this forgotten western town… -

Looks interesting from the overview, and it's nice to see some larger map stuff from the DKMP server. Why does everyone from there use this shit water colour though?

I quite like the color of the water :/
I also quite like the landscape, the elevation nicely breaks up the map into smaller spaces. Feel like you're missing some more context around the edges though.
Are you sure this is 1967, and not 1867?

Yeah, if there's anything I would've changed, it would've been to clean up the edges with some blacktiling.
The shape of the creek is quite natural. As far as waterways that do not use CS go, this is one of my favorites I've seen in a long time.
The terrain painting could use some stronger attention, especially in the red portions. Rather than just dotting a square here and there, create larger, more deliberate shapes with the light sand, dirt and grass and allow them to work together.
