This is a super specific description, but this reminds me a LOT of classic iSpy books.
I love this! Great idea to have the horses escape from the carousel. This could actually also be done in a realistic park. Omnimover ride with horses instead of the usual seats. Rotating station shaped like a carousel, haunted carnival theme
