Like that would happen. When JP was made Pope there was an uproar because he wasn't Italian. It'll likely be some tradionalist European cardinal who will continue to espouse stupid traditionalist made up Catholic rules like birth control and keep the catholic church in there self imposed morality bubble for another 30 years.I doubt it, since Catholics invented it.
I hope they choose the African cardinal. -

That's like the strangest thing I've readen in this topic yet... Because someone in America died, the Pope also dies. Did you know that at least 6 people have died in the Netherlands today because they asked the doctors to pull the plug? Look, because that 6 people died, the pope died today! That's so logical.
yeah I thought that was weird, but I can't figure out what it might mean so I forgot about it.What Meretrix says. And said.
Anyone else find it kinda... signagenessish how Terri Schivo dies, then the Pope does/will?
Yes.
Well, sad to see someone die, but I'm not personally struck because of the man's death, because I'm not religious. I might even sound rude, but it's maybe better that the man died. I mean; the man already was sick and he had very much pain.
And also it must have been a hard 84 years for him; he wasn't allowed to have sex in his life, that must have been a hard 84 years... -

The Pope passed away about an hour ago.
If anyone has ever heard of the that Portugese Miracle of the Virgin Mary thing, where three kids saw Mary in the red sky, got predictions, and they all came true, then note that the last one, who died a few weeks ago, predicted that the Pope would soon die... and then like WWIII would occur or something.
!!!!!
I dunno... so he was against gay marriage and homosexuality. I don't agree with that opinion, but that hardly constitutes being bad IMO. I can see your point of view, given your sexuality, but of course, I respectfully disagree and maintain that he was a great man. -

Nice namechange Cork.
But anyway, sad news about the Pope going, but I never take any notice of religous stuff. I'll never watch Euro Trip again. -

I think Corky is refering to the Third Secret of Fatima, which is an apocalyptic vision written down by Sister Lucia who is believed to have been visted by the Virgin Mary. As far as I am aware the full text of the Third Secret written by Sister Lucia has yet to be released by the Vatican. One item that is know is that a bishop in white is to be shot.
The other two Secrets of Fatima were a vision of Hell and that the establishment of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary will help to bring Russia to conversion and peace. -

Would be fun, but the problem with African religious leaders is that they are even worse then other ones. Aids could really be less of a problem if they didn't block all sorts of counter measures. The problem with the church is that they don't adapt them to the present and try to keep to medievil values. That's the reason why so many churches here became empty. I also have problems with the laws of churches since I don't have a clue where they originated from regarding biblical aspects.I hope they choose the African cardinal.
Oh and Michael.... don't hide secret messages -

yeah, if you want to say something about him not having sex for 84 years, then say it. -

There we go. The Third Secret of Fatima. I heard that upon Lucia's death, it was revealed though. Maybe not the full thing, though. Duh. Bush got re-elected. What, You thought the middle eastern radicalists will like it when we invade Iran? I'm against all this shit but I saw it coming in the last election. Bust touted religion like Micheal Jackson taughts judges and won an election so he can continue to kill thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of Middle-Easterners. He doesn't give a fuck about what goes on in the this country, he's too busy makeing war...So....World World III is approaching? Well, shit.
Anyways. The Pope.
Oh and someone already tried to assassinate JPII and it didn't work. Pope John Paul wasn't all bad, but I will agree that the cathlic religion is far too conservitive. I would know, growing up in it, but I refuse to be confirmed because I don't agree with them. I'm pro choice (for complicated reasons, not because I like the thought of killing babies), I'm pro homosexual "civil unions" and civil unions being the same as marriage economically.
So yeah JPII wasn't perfect in my eyes however he did everything he could to the best of his ability the way he believed was correct. I respect that out of anyone.

Anyway, people die all the time. Last year, a lot of legendary movie stars died. The year before was pretty bad for pro wrestlers. You don't notice it unless it's reported, tho. It's not really unusual. Just seems that way. -
