I never said anything about a 'tragic save' - it was a good save if anything. It was a tragic miss for Shevchenko. How someone having a penalty saved in a European Cup Final that looses the game for their team isn't tragic I don't know. You can say he fluffed it all you like but if Dudek hadn't been alert and left a hand trailing he would never have saved it, a lot of keepers would have just dived to their right and missed it.
He didn't miss a sitter either, to miss you have to not hit the target for a start. I don't what goes on in your head but there is nothing more he could have done, he was first to the rebound and hit it like a bullet and luckily for Liverpool Dudek got in the way. There is not a lot more he can do from a few feet. You can't honestly tell me you didn't think it was a certain goal until Dudek saved it and then thought it was a bad miss and not a good save.
This is such a petty argument but you obviously don't know what you're talking about. -

What the fuck? He hit it straight at dudek! Anywhere but there its a goal, it was an atrocious miss. I'm sorry but I'd expect "the best striker in the world" to score from that. Hell, I'd have scored that. -

Yeah right you've had scored that, he is one of the best strikers in the world because he has the ability not to stand there and reflect on having his header saved but react quicker then everyone else in the box and get another shot in. He had fuck all room to work with and it is abit hard to score when someone throws there body in front of the ball. He can only hit it straight at Dudek if Dudek is in the way. Dudek got lucky throwing his hands up, it was no fault of Shevchenkos I don't understand how you cannot see that, or are you just to ignorant to accept the truth?
Anyway I have had enough of this because it is just pathetic. -

i agree fully with TPM. hes one of the best players around at the moment. the number of runs he made behind the Liverpool defence in the first half put even liverpools usually rock steady defence to shame.
THat miss was by no fault of his own. Dudek made an incredible reaction save. I challenge any other player (yes even u) to of scored that.
Full credit to dudek i thought it was all over.... but an awesome stop. -

HE WAS FUCKING TWO YARDS OUT AND ONLY A GOALKEEPER ON THE LINE AND DUDEK IS ONLY 5FT10 DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH OF THE GOAL WAS OPEN?
Dudek didn't save it. He didn't move from when the ball was hit to when it hit him. Quite simply Shevchenko hit it straight at him. And what use are runs when they're always offside? I think a lot of ppl say he's awesome just because they're told that - I mean, how many games have you actually watched with Shevchenko in? Unless you live in Italy, probably not that many. I haven't seen that many myself with him in, but every game I have seen he hasn't stood out enough to be called the best forward in the world. I mean, I can see he has incredible talent but best forward in the world? Sorry, I really don't think so.

On another note. I really hope liverpool are allowed to defend their trophy. I mean logically it should be at the expense of some random albanian team or something, but if it comes to it I believe Everton should have to forfeit like Zaragoza did for Madrid a few years back. How can another team feel that they're the champions of Europe next year if the holders didn't even compete?
Also, Liverpool have won it 5 times now and keep the trophy - the first trophy that will ever find its permanent home in England from the continent. -

Shevchenko kept beating about two players and getting stopped by the third one. Part of his greatness is that he needs to be watched by three players at all times and still manages to almost score. End of story. -

He was very rarely off side with those runs. Him and kaka linked up for several incredibly close calls in that first half. Thanks to some very classy (and some lucky) defending it was only 3-0 at half term. Also he had the effort cleared off the line by traore in the 2nd half.
And the penalty argument sucks. Every great player has missed a penalty in his time.
The shot u keep reffering to was incredibly cose to the goalie. i honestly dont think any other player would of fared better. Dudek closed down and got up extremely well from the previous save. One of the saves of the season in my opinion rather than an awful miss.
He may not be the best in the world but hes top 3 for me. And he was deffinetly one of the most influential players on the pitch in terms consistently causing the Liverpool defence grief. -

Well, all I'll say is I said before the game the whole thing relies on Carradona vs. Shevchenko. You know who I think won. -

I'm sorry, Schevchenko's goal scroing record speaks for itself. He's an absolutely world class player and this is epitomised by his hat-trick vs Lazio in the Italian SuperCup; left-footed scissor kick from 12 yards, bullet header from 18 yards, right footed volley from 25 yards, easily the most technically accomplished hat-trick I've witnessed (next to Bergkamp's vs Ipswich).HE WAS FUCKING TWO YARDS OUT AND ONLY A GOALKEEPER ON THE LINE AND DUDEK IS ONLY 5FT10 DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH OF THE GOAL WAS OPEN?

I've watch about 60% of Milans matches on British Eurosport, and Schevchenko is simply head and shoulders above the rest. I mean, he's single-handedly got Ukraine to the top of their WC2006 qualifying group that includes Turkey and Greece. Thats world-class.
Also, why would a-hunded odd top sports journalists around the world vote him for player of the year if he wasn't world class? -

Best night of my life, and then the parade today was overwhelming.
All the doubters as usual...haha, never write off liverpool. With the greatest fans behind you anything can happen.
Traore never had an awful game at all stargazer. He did first half but who never ?
After that every player for liverpool was superb. Defensively sound and superb on the break.
I have lost my voice completely and i am going to be smiling for a long long time !!!

Milan are obviously class, saying shevchenko was awful is strange.
Dudek made an amazing save from him and from the penalty....doesnt make his all round game yday awful
But what else makes me happy is the fact that we've got englands 2nd/3rd best centre back.
^The guy is a legend.
In the parade dudek caught my scarf and kept hold for when we were singing YNWA, amazing site. The pictures prove this.
