I'm finding, in my old age, that the crushing G-forces just aren't very fun for me anymore. It makes my head hurt too much. I like gentle rides with pleasing forces. Like suspended coasters. I could ride one of those all day. And X was a rush the first couple times, but the last few times I've been on it it's more painful than fun. It feels like my temples are about to explode. B&M coasters are usually good, especially floorless coasters. I love Medusa west because it's a very open layout. There's long straight stretches where you get the speed without the corresponding headache that comes with all those twists and turns. And Roar is probably still my favorite ride. It manages to be twisty and intense but completely smooth and pain free at the same time. If I ever designed coasters, that's the type of coaster I would build. The type you could ride all day without getting a headache. I love the speed, and inversions are sometimes fun (especially zero G rolls) but I don't like all the blood going into my head. But then I haven't been on The Beast so I don't really know what a huge helix on a wooden coaster feels like.Actully if they're done right helixs can be quite fun. Just look at all the positive reviews of Beast out there. I would say the positive/vertical-G build up of a helix works particularly well to launch you out into airtime causing hills of some sort, like on Cornball Express. It whips into the helix giving airtime, then it crushes you with ever-increasing force against the side of the train before breaking back into straight and throwing you skyward over the ending bunny hops.

I love the huge parallel helix on American Eagle at SFGAm. It starts off super slow and you build speed as you slowly descend over 540+ degrees of turn. By the time you come out of it you're plastered to the side of the trembling car and there's a brief straightaway where you're still banked a little, then on to the final set of bunny hills. It's sometimes a little painful, but I don't mind so much.

Would you like a medal?[While we're on the topic of helices] One time, when I was bored, I made a woodie with 3 helices just like the one in GigaForce's post, but much smaller.

This is where it's at... although it's one of the most painful things...
THIS - PAIN = COMPLETE RUSH -

everything in that screen actually has a purpose, if i remember correctly =3M--That mess is just.. well, amazing.
and I recognized buster AAA right off XD
I'll have to do one of these collages to get some really really old stuff under the microscope. -

Yeah, helixes are great. On Gwazi Tiger, and, possibly Lion (I've only been on Lion a couple of times...) there's this amazing helix right at the end, where you're thrown around quite violently, and all the massive G forces pushing down on you, it's just, amazing, but the best part is right at the end: There's this incredibly small hill, perhaps too small to even call it a hill, that gives probably the best airtime I've ever experienced. You're nearly thrown out of the car, which is especially scary considering there's supports on all sides of you at that point... it's just... awesome.
I'd say that, even after Sheikra, Gwazi is still the best coaster in Florida. It just beats the crap out of you! Rough, intense, awesome. None of this wimpy B&M crap... okay, so B&M's aren't crap... but most of them only have a few moments I really feel are worthwhile. -

Turtle that wasnt a plug, i released that park years ago lol
Honestly, cool helixes like that arent all that great on steel coasters, and not very realistic. The helixes put into the game are the realistic steel coaster helixes, like Titan and Goliath (easily the best helixes ive ridden)
Although they very in size, like the giant helixes (boring.) on S:ROS at SFDL.
Its the wooden ones that tend to vary in height like shown, example in Son of Beast. -

Hmmm...what parks are those screens from? I know some, but not all.
A-
B-One of Busters parks, either AAA or CCC
C-^^^, I don't remember which though...all of Busters parks are kinda a big blur for me now.
E-^^^
F-Demon right?
G-Looks like somethin RRP might do?
H-Exactly what of Ed's is this? Egyptopia?
I-Spiderman
J-BBB I think.
K-Buster again?
L-
M-Tussauds 03'
N-
O-Looks like Buster. I think the mine themes are to increase the excitement. I think I remember that being one of those 'hidden tricks' that Buster one day revealed.
P-AAA I guess...although I was going to guess Zoinks' White Star Pyramid park that I'm not even sure if it ever got released (it rocked though)
Q-
R-Looper 2000?

Iris, I'll look them all up tomarrow night. Haven't the time now. And also, I think I might do another one as well, but Blitz's would be way better, because I only have parks from this site. -

Helices don't even have to be intense to be fun. I'm not sure why, but the helix on Manhattan Express is probably the most fun helix I've ever been on, beating out coasters like Goliath, Nitro, Top Gun, ect., although the helices on the btr's come in at a close second. -

Ah, I didn't really consider it a helix, but if the one on Batman counts, than I do love the helix on Top Gun at PGA. You feel like you could reach down and graze the water almost. -

The best is riding on the very front right seat or front left seat of Scream!.
Not the best rollercoaster ever, but if you sit there, you'll learn to love it. -
Coaster Ed Offline
I only rode Scream once, but my first impression was it's no where near as much fun as Medusa west. But then you take what you can get I guess. -
Phatage Offline
I only rode Medusa west once, and my original impression was that it wasn't as good as Medusa east, which in a sense is kind of wierd I guess. It probably has a lot to do with fanboyism and whatnot. -
Coaster Ed Offline
I just like the speed and smoothness of Medusa west more than the twistyness of Scream which also wasn't as smooth, even though it's brand new. Depends what you like. But I haven't been on Medusa east, so I can't make that comparison. -
Micool Offline
Well, I've never ridden either Medusa, so I wouldn't know, but I have sat in other places on Scream, and it wasn't that exciting. Just like suspended coasters are more like simulators unless you sit in front, or at least on the sides. Where you sit matters more than most people think, until they ride something in a few different seats in a car. -

The Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas has the worst helix ever. Then again, the whole coaster sucks due to them making the drop shorter. Way better back in its glory days...
