See you there! We're arriving on Jan. 15th, but probably won't hit the park til the 17th. -

Toon mah man... we should meet up, or something... especially if you still hit the park on the 18th or 19th. Maybe have a mini-NE meet? lol -

Hmmm, is that a holiday? I'm highly tempted to go, given that bought a 4-day use pass from Costco that lets me visit one park a day four times between now and November 18, 2006.
I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow, if anyone wants to meet up on REALLY short notice. -

The Monday is a holiday, but we haven't decided if we want to brave the park or wait til Tuesday. However, a chance to hook up might sway the decision. -

I might be able to make it in January. I was going to go earlier this month anyway, but then I never did. -

Wait... I was looking at the 2005 calendar for Jan 17th and 18th (which is actually a Tuesday and Wednesday, days off). -

Hey Ed... wanna go next week (even though I just went yesterday)?
Or if you feel like going, lemme know and I'll see if I can make it.
Yesterday was a blast. Shoulda been there, Geoff. Despite the crowds, we got pretty much everything we wanted done.

Now, I dunno if they're pushing up the fireworks to an earlier time on the days Disneyland closes at 8, or if they're just not having them at all. However, I highly suggest you visit on a day where you CAN see the fireworks, as it is the best fireworks show I've ever seen. And given you're coming from all the way up in the Great White North, this could be your only chance (the Remember... fireworks show only runs through Novemember of 2006, as far as I know). It's not a show to be missed!

Fireworks still shoot off on days it closes at 8, seen them many a times. Mainly because, we can only go on weekdays (So-Cal Selet). We're prolly going next Tuesday. -

Ah, cool. What time do they start the show on days when the park closes earlier? -

Cool. Good to know.
Oh, and since you probably would know... what time to people start lining up? For example, on the busier days, if you go even an hour beforehand, you'll be hard-pressed to find any good seats with clear, open views close to the castle. However, on a "less busy" day, if you went only half an hour ahead of time, would you be able to get a seat near the castle? -

Geez... ridiculous.
Although we waited for two hours last night to get our awesome spot of basically right in front of the castle (slightly to the left). So yeah... -

Cork, I missed you by a day. I went Monday and Tuesday to DCA/Disneyland. I have never seen anything in my life so crowded as Tuesday was. I have quite a story involving Space Mountain. I also have pictures. I'll see if I can post them within the next couple of days. -

I heard that Tuesday was a nightmare. So I'm glad we went Wednesday. I talked to some vacationers who have been to the resort for a few days. I figured the middle of the week would be the least super crowded, and with USC and Texas at the park today for Rose Bowl festivities, I guess I was right.
Space Mountain broke down at least twice yesterday. Sounds pretty dumb IMO, since the ride is like five months old and just reopened after a 1.5 year retracking. *sigh*
