That definitely made me chuckle. I will post that clip when I get a chance to upload video. Might be a few days though, due to mad work. -

Hey guys, got back from the park at 8 but watched American Idol, lol. Anywho, just as I suspected, Toon didn't get my PM before he left, so things went un-accordingly to plan. BUT! There's good news! We ran into him!
We got to the park at 11:45, and went in to DCA for the first hour and 15 to find out Screamin' was closed and being worked on... one of the two (what's up with that?) green trains was stuck 3/4's down the launch. Anywho, went over to Orange Stinger after that, followed by Mulholland Madness, then Golden Zeypher. Was nearly one after that, so we started towards Disneyland but stopped to get some Sourdough Bread and Tortillas real quick... good stuff.
Walked out of DCA into Disneyland and as we were walking down Main Street I looked to the right and there was this dude who looked like the guy from Home Alone 2 and Muppet Treasure Island so I yelled out "Hey Mike!" The guy turns towards us, I ask if he's Mike and it was! Saw a pic of him awhile ago posted here and guessed right, lol.
We talked for a bit, about his phone being off, was introduced to his family, talked about what they've done so far (walk-on's everything, including Space), the fireworks from Monday night (they did go off), and also of course about Albert and the crew and what happend so that they didn't get to meet. He was a bit sad about that, saying how it was a once in a lifetime thing and how it would've been good to meet them all. After all that, they were off to get a locker followed by lunch. Before we split though he said we should meet up again at 4 and pointed towards the castle, lol...
So after that we hit Big Thunder, and got MAD air! Walk-on back row, recorded it, then went on again and filmed it backwards... so great. Went over to Space after that, 5 minutes waiting sign posted! Amazing! Walked right on to front row and WOW! Totally amazing, blacker than usual as I blinded myself and Allison with the digi camera's flash, so that was cool. Walked off and this lady handed us a Switch Pass, so we got right back on, third row for the first time in years. We usually ask for front row on everything, so it was different... but really cool, and comfy, but front is still best. Even if it is all black inside, the wind in the front rocks, makes it seem faster.
Following that we went to Matterhorn, which had a 5 min ride. We chose the right side (looking at the station from the old boat ride station) filmed that front row as well, really fun. Over to Tea Cups after that, always fun.
After that we went to the car, which we parked in Downtown Disney cause the three hours was coming up and we didn't wanna pay for parking, lol. Went over to Del Taco down the road and ran into the Etnies bike team and met Rick Rueben and the crew, got a pic, so that was rad. Went back to the park and got into DCA @ 3:15.
We went straight to Screamin' which was open and waited about 30 mins for the front row and oh my friggin god... the ejector air on that hill after the launch was incredible today. Just... incredible. Speed was great and there was NO trim before the loop today so we flew through that like old times (was added after the accident last year). Bunny hills were filled with air too as those brakes were very light.
By the time we got off that it was 3:58 so we ran over to DL and to the end of Main Street near the hub and didn't see Mike and the crew.We got there at 4:11 so we don't know if he waited or what, so that kinda sucked. We waited for 14 mins, walked around the hub and all, oh well. Was still really cool meeting Mike and his fam, really nice folks.
Went over to Jungle Cruise after that, but something fell in the water so it was closed for "15 minutes" so we went on Indy since that was a 15 min wait. Always a fun ride. Went back to JC after that, and the line was about 10 mins, and we didn't wanna wait so we went over to Fantasyland.
Peter Pan was only a 10 min wait so we hit that since it's usually 20-25 mins long. Such a great dark ride... those lights are amazing. Got off that and Marry Poppins and Bert were out in the front of the line, so we followed them around to the carousel and then gave up after kids bombarded them to take pics.
Went over to Big Thunder again after that, got back row again walk on, and loved every foot of that ride... those possom's are so cool! Was getting kinda late and we wanted to leave by 6 to be home by 8 so we left for DCA after that, even though we had FP's for Space Mountain from earlier.
Got into DCA and went to go check out Crush's Turtle Talk, but was closed for the night, so we headed over to ToT, but both elevators at the front were full and the line was to the entrance of the hotel, so we left for one last trip on Screamin'.
Got to Screamin' and the line was only about 15 mins long. We got to the front and asked for the front, got it, and immediately after they announced it was 6 and they weren't allowing choosing of row placement anymore, so that was cool. Once again a great ride, smooth, fast, and no brakes! Oh man the air... like nothing else. Got off that and exited @ the Grand Californian entrance/exit to save time going through the front of the park/downtown disney. Got to the car just in time to not have to pay for parking, so that was cool.
All in all it was an awesome day at the park. Was great again to meet Mike and his fam, too bad we didn't get to hang out more, wanted to talk aboot your restaurant and ketchup chips (at least allison, lol).
Oh and we didn't do the ToonTown thing... didn't remember about it until it was too late (car time wise). Next time, and i'll def get it on vid.

Wait... California Screamin' has been uncastrated??? Do my eyes deceive me? You actually got air on that ride?
This is very good news indeed. Lucky you getting to meet Mike... you better have taken pictures!
Once it got into the evening, Ed, Chris, and I knew that it would take sheer luck to run into him. You evidentally had better luck than us (and also better odds with it being a not-so-busy day).
BTW, I guess what I guessed with Mike was correct? His phone didn't work (and he didn't try to call from a pay phone)?
Toon, if you read this, if you want to stop by USC sometime... -

We've always gotten mad air on Screamin' at the top of that hill (only in the front), but today was just insane compared to the rides in the past. But yeah, no brakes before the loop and super light before the bunny hills.
I told him about the payphone thing and he seemed pretty sure you gave him the wrong phone number, lol. And I didn't get pix of the group, I was planning on vid on a ride/pix later in the day... but of course that never happend.
It didn't seem like he has any way to get online so I doubt he'll read that til he gets back, lol. -

lol... I'm pretty sure I didn't, but oh well.
He remembered to dial 1 before the area code, right?
EDIT: Just checked, and I DEFINITELY gave him the right number. -

I'm home...perhaps I wrote the damn number down wrong. I was disappointed, but didn't let it ruin my vacation
I should have walked around while waiting for the fireworks yelling Corky!
What's up with 'Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls...the fireworks have been cancelled'
More on the trip later.
Very sorry to have missed you guys. -

Yeah... oh well. Maybe another time, somehow.
Fireworks were cancelled that night due to high winds. At higher elevations. *shrug* -

What I meant was who starts a cancelation announcement with 'ladies & gents, boys & girls'.... -

Oh yeah. That's rather annoying. Although when they started, we all pretty much knew. There were "oh no's" immediately.
