As my left hand needs some exercise, I decided to start a park.
    Peepfriendly of course.

It will be dedicated to "music" (composers, players, styles, etc, etc.)

because it shall be quite a time still before my right arm/hand will function again , progress will be extremely slow and updates sparse....but...

here's the entrance. I am still fiddling around with things like the small fountain and the building above the piano.

    Comments and advice very welcome....

I wish I could build like that with one hand.

    Those instruments are friggin' awesome.

Impressive. Loving those instruments. Very good quality.

Fooking awesome! Love the piano above the entrance.

    Oh. My. Fucking. God.

Awesome work. I'm loving the instruments (especially that piano) and all the notes and other little details. The buildings are done really well. I like the colors as well, everything comes together perfectly.

Fantastic job and get well soon =).

This is why you're a Parkmaker.

Yeah, I saw this a while ago in the rctspace staffroom, but forgot to say how awesome it is!
Quite impressive you managed to build this only with one hand!
I love those instruments (wonder if and how you're gonna do the sax area, as I'm playing one), the color choices and overall atmosphere.. Nothing to complain about, so keep going and good to have you back in the parkmaking area too Susanne!

Ha...and you did it with your left hand?

Well, that piano on the entrance of the building is just lovely and so is each instrument you made. I think that the atmosphere you created is great aswell and I can't wait to see how you pull off this park...I mean, you chose a very interesting theme to carry out. The architecture is very very nice, I like your style a lot, and you also did a good color selection...I have one suggestion though: those gray signs ("music" and "masters") should stand out a little bit, so if I were you, I'd paint them black or some other fitting color.

Anyway, I'm very glad to see some work from you. Keep going :)

BTW...what do you have in mind for the composers, artists and stuff?

I think one of the best things about that screen is that you didn't create new scenery for the music notes but made them just as good with existing scenery.

    That guitar is tight!
  • Evil WME%s's Photo
Wow, impressive. The musical notes, the piano, the guitar.. all top notch!

I don't know why you're fiddling with the piano building, as to me, it's the building that comes together the nicest!

It's unfortunate that the color of the guitar kind of stings with the rest of the clean, whitish buildings (which are both good, i'm just not sure how well they work toegether)

Something i do know how to fix, that is bothering me, is the two colored flowers.
Personally, i'd say all yellow would work, actually, as long as it's one color things should look a lot better.. i think blueish fluffy flowers would work the best.

Other than that, i'm not a fan of the fountain used, nor the lowering the land (to make the trees look like bushes?), i think regular treeing or just bushes would look better, more classic. It seems kind of like a trick to make something look good, different, that to me, kind of loses the point.

The thing with the screen is, well.. as i look at it more i can sort of disagree with a lot of choices, but it's nice for what it is. I might even like tarmac paths better here, but they'd probably make the guitar and banjo stand out even worse. I love the musical notes, the piano, those white buildings. The piano keys almost look like custom scenery that fits in perfectly, but i see how it's composed of various tricks with different scenery elements. Brilliant :). That there reminds me of coaster ed, he made a small combination of a fence and art deco pieces that came together very nice as well..

    So, good luck.

Wow. The instruments are really well done! I'm interested to see how this park unfolds.

Wow, very, very, very nice work.

Is this going to be mostly themed to more classical music, or will it also have some Hard Rock Park styled sections? That is, will there be more modern music themes?

Anyways, great start. I'm looking forward to this one.

    Hans: Thank you,
and no, I don't know either yet how I am going to do the sax, LoL! And neither many other copper instruments. Up till now I have not found any rct-pieces that could be a help with that, but we'll see, this park is not finished yet.... and if I cannot make a believable one, then it will just be an area/coaster/ride that in any other way relates to the coppers, their players or something alike. Maybe I could give you your own "saks-worst" shop in there? No, only Dutch speakers would get it ......
Nice to hear you play the sax, beautiful and creative instrument!
(hey, "SixFrags"-------?"SaxFrags"...now I think about that , new possibilities again )

    RCFanB&M:
yes, I see what you mean about that signs. I already tried black before, but that was too oppressive there imo. But I'll play around with it a bit more. (on the other hand: they already have huge letters with the park name at the entrance as well as a sign in yellow there, so this one is just an extra...) Thanks.

Phatage:I think one of the best things about that screen is that you didn't create new scenery for the music notes but made them just as good with existing scenery.

Thank you. I always see it as a lovely challenge to try to create things out of existing scenery. Though with this theme I fear I won't succeed for all things I have in mind (see my answer to SF)

^ ........hmmm... I had not felt yet that guitar and banjo stinging with the rest...think I wanted them to contrast ...

Flowers: there are quite a lot of them in and this entrance, don't you think it would get boring/a bit monochromatic if they are all just the same colour? I'll have a look at it anyway, and thanks for reminding me of the fluffy ones, had not tried them yet.

Trees on the lowered land: are not meant to be "different" (done before by others as well as by myself): I wanted it to look like more luxurious and bigger bushes than there are available in RCT, while the full trees are too high in that spot. Up till now I reasonably like it, but that of course can change before this park is finished..... :D

the fountain: as you can read in my first post I am not yet satisfied with that one either, so I hope I can change it to something better.
    Thank you!

    FK+Coastermind:
Thanks, and yes very well seen!: I absolutely had that colour-scheme and textures in the back of my head when I started this entrance.

Geoff: I am also curious to see how the park unfolds, LoL! Apart from testing what I still can do at the moment, some areas also will be a surprise to me . I never am planning a park ahead for 100% of the way (RCTNW is a master at that!) but just start if I have over 50% of the ideas and layout in my head and in a notebook.

No, not only classical. There will be styles/composers/music makers from a lot of different times, also more modern ones and Hard Rock is in the top of my list of endless possibilities ....just have to see how I can execute that acceptably...... :<img src=:' />

    Rhynos: same answer as above...

Yes, Levis, took me ages....stacking is a real time-consumer with one hand, but it's soooo good for my coordination of the fingers and thumb....

Thank you everyone a lot for the reactions, comments and advice (really stimulating and much appreciated.....)
