I love my iphone. It's easy to navigate, I can skype my (sort of, but not really) long-distance girlfriend in London, and it gives me something to do between classes and on the light rail to State.

    Meh unimpressed.

I moved from an Iphone to an Android last year and haven't looked back.
I like Iphones but the new one is disappointing. The new screen and the 4G are just catching up with the competition. The new design is nice but there is nothing in the new Iphone I see that would make me want it over a 4S

I'm clearly in the non-apple camp, but I love that they're advertising that the new model will have 4g and their fans are drooling over it when my Droid has had it for over a year. I feel like you could take out '4g' and mad lib in a lot of features and it would still be accurate.

I couldn't give a shit about iPhones. I'll never understand why people need to have phones that do everything but what they were intended to do.

Time killer. Convenience. I've heard you can use them for all sorts of business crap but I've never actually known anyone that could make use of it.

My father likes his iPhone because he can carry around all the applications and handbooks he needs when flying (he's a senior airline pilot with American) on his phone, which makes checking loads and booking flights or trading his schedule around easy. Most everyone else I know uses it as a mobile Facebook machine, which is kind of frustrating to me, especially considering that's all they use their $2500 MacBook Pro for as well.

I don't think I'm ever going to leave Android. I don't even want to give up my phone (Galaxy Nexus), I just wish it were a hair faster at times. The screen size and resolution is a bit ahead of the hardware and battery.

Why do people need a 'mobile Facebook machine' though? It pisses me off because it means people are always busy checking their FB or Twitter when you're with them. Honestly, what is so important on Facebook that it can't wait a few hours until you get home and on a computer?!

Ohh ,you're gonna laugh so hard.

I'm STILL using this one. :p

A mobile phone wont be a computer until you can play RCTLL and RCT2 on it.
  • Austin55%s's Photo
    Oh my yes.
Transport Tycoon has an emulator app.
  • Casimir%s's Photo
DON'T! Or else, Atari will read this and release the incredibly crappy RCT3D as iCT!

    conformity.

i think this sums of most iphone users, most smartphone buyers, and even most people in general. pretty funny video hahahaa.

as for the phone, meh. LTE kills battery life, and i will never understand why a phone needs 21mbps speeds. the only 'upgrade' is an extra row of icons. i can't blame apple though, they're marketing is crazy good and they're banking billions. i just wish they would have some self pride and invest a good percentage of those billions into r&d. instead, they choose to sit back and play the game that is america.

just ordered an unlocked galaxy nexus. gonna cancel my contract with att and switch to t-mobile monthly 4g. unlimited text, unlimited data (up to 5gb of 4g), and 100 mins for only $30. unbelievable deal right there.

when the lumia 920 drops, i will get me one and pop in my t-mobile sim. fuck $110/month contracts. keep it simple.
  • Ling%s's Photo
Yeah, I wish we could get fewer minutes on our plan. My family never uses even half of them, between the "Circle" or whatever the hell Verizon has, and our now-more-prevalent texting. I use my phone for data more than anything else, and for that I'm so happy that Verizon let my father and me keep our unlimited data plans when they decided to limit everyone else to 4.0GB/month max. I use well over that almost every month (Reddit, weather, news, NE, YouTube, Escapist, occasionally Facebook, etc. - hell, downloading a movie to rent direct to the device can use 2~3GB right there). Possibly the only way they could make this phone better is making integration with iTunes as easy as it is with iPods. It's a mild pain updating your music library by hand.

I've had a Droid RAZR for a little under 3/4 of a year now. Running Ice Cream Sandwich and loving it, apart from the horrid battery life.

I've been doing a lot of stuff like going to parties where I know I won't know anyone because if it ends up being shitty I can just be the guy in the corner checking his phone. If you check it while talking to someone you're just being an asshole.
