Pym?I gots a few.
Black Sabbath. Great band, especially good if you're looking for the origins of metal. I recommend Sabbra Cadabra, Electric Funeral, and Snowblind for beginners. Another good early metal band is Alice Cooper, pretty much anything on their greatest hits CD is good.
Another great band is Guns N' Roses. They've got a great variety of songs. From heavy songs to ballads, they'll satisfy with great vocals and an amazing lineup of guitarists.
And strangely, I've been listening to a lot from the Scorpions lately. Look into them too. -

Pym, you gonna check my list out this Spring?
Mantis, you can't tell me that World's Greatest, I Wish, I'm Your Angel, and Bump n Grind weren't good songs?
Ignition Remix, nor Rock Your Body deserve to be in the top 5, but then again we're talking about the UK, same country that wants to turn Sk8r Boi into a full length movie. -

Then check out Fourplay instead, that's a band that you might dig. Start of with one of their classics like 101 Eastbound and Any Time of Day or more recent hits like Blues Force and Go With Your Heart. -

Probably Canada. Avril Lavigne's home country. They're probably trying like hell to get some international street cred and stop being looked at as the inbred hick nation on planet Earth.Thing is, it must be funded by america, mustn't it?
Shame it isn't working. -
