If you want news on Fox then just ask Turtle - I think they still go to the same school. And wasn't Crispy really mean? I got 6 weeks for thatFirst sites you reguarly browsed: Skeg's (before I knew what forums where), RCTUK, RCT Inc., SV4 (wonder what ever happened to Fox).
Most Memorable moment: when Crispy banned just about everyone from RCTUK.

First Park Download: That's a tough one...maybe one of Weirdbore's Worlds, or one of Andy247's parks. Probably Dynamo Whatsit that was the special park on RCTUK at the time.
How you found the community: I discovered how to use search engines and the internet, and happened upon RCTUK. Browsed, then signed up, and spammed my way to 1000 in no time.
First sites you reguarly browsed: RCTUK then RCT Station. Somewhere in between, Sprite&TEO and RCT Inc and SV4Central and RC Pro and rct:2. Then New Element. God knows how many posts that amounts to. Too many.
Most Memorable Moment(s): Releasing each of my parks, losing touch at Sprite&TEOand joining New Element. This is the greatest place.

First park download:
No idea. It might have been Hybris Mega Park. No actually, I think the first ones I downloaded were crap. That's what made Hybris Mega Park and Joe Holland's IOA stand out so much. They were the first ones I was excited about when I saw them.
How I found the community:
Some search engine. This was pre-Google I think. Danimation was one of the first ones to come up. It caught my attention because it had screens and rankings for the parks to download (those little coaster train ratings - remember those?) and was generally the best looking RCT fan site around. The others were all too unorganized or had crappy parks available. Then I found the forums and that was fun. Then Dan started the Spotlight and I was really hooked.
First sites I regularly browsed:
Danimation also LAA's website which I found from Danimation. I browsed Thrillride a lot then too for coaster news. And some other sites which I'm sure no longer exist. I had like 60 links to RCT sites in my favorites folder. I checked recently and about 4 of them still worked.
Most memorable moment(s):
1. Having my first park Coconut Monkey's Island Paradise rated #1 at SDI's site for a few months in 2000. I sent the park to PC Gamer (they use to include user created levels and stuff on their CD) and never got a response. I bet they got error trappers.
2. Opening up my own (crappy) site Ed's Coasters International and getting e-mails from people who liked my coasters. Being a "webmaster" was fun for a little while.
3. Planning park projects with Segaman. Never finishing any of them.
4. Finally releasing Cedar Creek to some positive comments and a forum spotlight at Danimation.
5. Seeing UIX for the first time and getting to know iris and the folks at NE.
6. I posted commentaries for the Park Wars seasons and started to get some attention at NE.
7. The first NE Awards are one of my favorite memories. I made fun of my penchant for posting long rambling Spotlight reviews, Segaman was there to cheer me on, I got to present an award, and I finished Egyptopia and sent it to iris that morning.
8. Getting to finish of CLAP and building my best work yet in only 3 weeks.
9. Each of my H2H2 parks was a fun and unique experience. The H2H2 reviews were fun too.
10. Got to be a mod and was voted best mod in second NE awards.
- Well after that point school really started becoming a chore so my other memories are mixed. -

Hello.Raven No you aint. i'm at least equal to you lol. read my post (2nd page). when i first came across RCT it was 2 days after the first RCT site opened and that was by a fluke of playing Theme Park and looking to see if there was a sequal planned...
. (and it wasnt even the first. a web site devoted to TT opened its page with screenshots and such a few daysfirst forums though. Think how old that tree like structure feels now lol.)
do you remember Daves RCT site? and the whole jenny thingand then when danimation turned up lol. Ahhhh good times. glad theres someone else who can remember back that far
we did... callin us nerds are yah,.... are yah?
Wasnt it http://coaster.gamestats.com/ still have the link im my favorites but it seems to of finally gone down l;ol
Wow.
Yeah I remember the whole Jenny thing...
SA = Jenny
Yes I remember Dave's RCT and I still have Hybris and Joe's IOA as well as his Oriental Adventures park.
Glad to know I am not the only grandpa here. Plus the fact that we stumbled across RCT for the SAME EXACT REASON...

He was a prick. Pure and simple. I didn't get banned for that for some reason but it was me who created the topic. =( I bet he had no idea that he'd destroy a community that easily. Fool.
Surely Jem (Turtle) and I think its Chris (Fox) go to college now?
I wonder if anyone remembers Coaster Collins?
He rocked, like Sprite, Teo, fish, J-Bird, kevinh (hated him really), etc.
edit. Found this.
Scroll down a bit and who do we find? The very Crispy5678 who destroyed RCTUK. > -
Turtle Offline
Original Name - Always been Turtle, it's getting on my nerves now.
Original Forum - Well, it was SV4 Central, purely because Chris (Fox) is my best friend, and he showed me... It was originally known under a different name - RCT Central, and had this lurid yellow colour scheme, which i begged him to change.... he relented, thankfully....
When i joined - I think mid-2000, about a year before mantis, as i remember...
First Park Download - If you don't count the competition entries which RCT Central recieved, probably something like an Evergreen Gardens conversion... However, the parks which i remember having the most impact on me were the Hybris Mega Park (how many rides can you possibly fit into one park?), Woepsworld (best duelling woodies i have ever seen, ever) and the Humblegrove series by Coaster Collins (that guy was a complete genius...).
How I Found the Community - Fox introduced me, and I gradually found other sites and forums. I like the people!
First Sites I Regularly Browsed - RCT Central (obviously), RCTUK and RCTInc. Although Sprite and TEO's site had me hooked while it existed. Spritefm was nice, she sent me a picture of herself once. Very strange...
Most Memorable Moments -
- Being banned for the 3 word story at RCTUK has to be up there, it was just so pathetic. I only wrote "Paddington blows goats" and he sent me this email preaching at me about how small children may be browsing the forums. Hell, I was a small child!
- First seeing Chinese Coaster Castle by Buster. Amazingly, i missed his first two Triple Letter Parks, but the centrepiece pyramid-thing in CCC just blew me away. Along with the coaster with broken loop. My god, what a park...
- When i heard about Buster's 14+ excitement coaster, and all the buzz it created around the community. Oh, the rush of people to beat him. Andy 247 was the only guy ever to come close, with a 13.5 vertical coaster or something...
- Being involved with the first ever RCTUK collaboration park, with sections from Fox, Wierdbore (Nic), Coaster Collins, Mindbender, Jacko, Andy 247, ilikephlegm and some others... sorry if i forgot you.Surely Jem (Turtle) and I think its Chris (Fox) go to college now?
We do indeed, still in the same class and everything. For anyone who cares, Chris is thinking of going to Nottingham Trent Uni, and i'm looking hard at Bath and UWIC. Oddly enough, Fox is planning a return (or so he says, can't seem to get his shit together though), and we might just make the Fox and Turtle Conspiracy Mark III! Who knows? -

Well here I am! As so many of you asked for me back. Turtle told me bout this crazy thread so i thought I might as well add my own!
Original Name - Fox029
Original Forum - RCTUK! Those were the days... every spare moment in an IT room at school rushing onto the forums, until late at night... wot were we like
When I Joined - Erm.. around about 1999 i think, as soon as RCTUK switched from their EZboards
First Park Download - I honestly cannot remember
How I Found the Community - Turtle introduced me into RCT, I got bored one day and looked around for a site.. RCTUK. It had forums so I joined! Liked the idea of websites and learnt how to make my own (SV4 Central). Was pretty good at the time, then it just died into a messy pulp and hasnt reared its head since. If i get the time i might start something up again, but with sites like NE and RCT Inc, its gonna b hard to try and get some people to have a look!
Most Memorable Moments
Oh here we go ...
My fury thread on RCTUK about two screens long about Crispy and his backstabbing antics, i just let everything rip on him, so so funny, loved every minute of it! wish i could see that again some day... i was later told it should be engraved in stone... but thats a lot of stone.
Winning one of the RCT Inc P-Spots with Turtle (the Fox and Turtle Conspiracy Mark 2)
Becoming a staff member of RCT Inc, then having to leave.... then a staff member again... then leave... then join up again... and leave...
Meeting some crazy people over on the RCTUK side, like Turtle, Weirdbore, Coaster Collins, ilikephlegm, rwadams, mantis, Jacko, Andy247, Skippy, jc (dnt get me started) and also kevinh, most of the one Turtle named!
Probably will start posting a bit more on here now, i get bored easily now! Havnt played RCT for donkeys years though! -

First Park: Geez...i don't recall, prolly nothing good, other wise I would have remembered. I know the first NE park i dled was Disney Dreams. That would clasify as good.
How I found Community: The Google
Memorable Moments: Oh geez. Prolly joining in the first place. Back on Station's gametropic forums, infact, about a week or two before they switched to invisions and what not. That was a great site. Another one is deifintly starting rctX, and attempting to run it for two years now.
Being asked by Red to be a mod. That was the high point really. Rct Station was still in its peak, (though on the decline), and then after that, I'd say it was catching Harry Potter Boy as being underage, by, well going 'undercover' (USC). So he got banned. From then I caught a dozen or so other underage members. Fun stuff.
Then joining NE, becoming a regularly, slighty annoying member i presume. Finding UIX and ALE. Man. That changed the game.
Then their was pranks, umma-har, rctkidkool, mostly stuff gym and I did while station was still open.
Good times. -

BUT WAIT!!!
I was a regular guest on Danimation around 2000 and 2001. I was there for FOO (though I didn't figure it out) and Salem Swamp, and probably a couple others. Unfortunately I never figured out how to load the parks, so I just browsed the spotlight pages. And for some reason I never found the forums. (Though I probably would have made a fool of myself.) So I missed a lot that was right in front of my face. But I remember the spotlights well from looking at their pages. When someone says RUPE, or FOO, or Greg Moore, these aren't a history lesson to me; I remember these well from years ago. I was in awe every time I looked through the spotlights. I also remember the Dassle Designs, including Bloodlines, and such. As they say, good times. But I missed a lot and I am just beginning to find out what else was there.
After D-net closed down I went to tycoonplanet a few times and found a bunch of RCT sites, though few were anything compared to Dnet. I think I remember finding RCTUK a couple times. I also went to Skeg's and RcPro. I particularly remember Skeg's for the crazy coaster parks, especially created by somebody named like Joan or something. They had like quadruple racers with 10 helixes each above the trees. Around this time I completed the only megapark I have ever finished, a 16-coaster park created off Evergreen Gardens. I didn't know theming so there wasn't any, but the coasters were awesome. So RCT kind of withered away in my life, and pretty soon I was only interested in real coasters. -
