(Archive) Advertising District / Entertainment City: Las Vegas

Update: This screens shows the YingYang dueling wooden coasters in the Little Tokoyo area.

There have been some changes in the planned E-ticket attractions due to budget constraints. SLADE has been officially replaced with the Flying W Ranch, which will be a Western themed area with several attractions including:

-Wild Mustang, possible mine train coaster
-Bronco Billy's, large casino in the ranch
-possible log flume attraction
-Flying W Railroad
-Both indoor / outdoor eating areas with stages for th Flying W Banjo band performances....

Park makers have also signed agreements with Harrah's to build the Harrah's Hi-Rollers Casino & Luxary Resort in the north west corner of the park, however the resort will not be accessible to ECLV park-goers. It will only be accessible by underground access roads and helicopter. Its purpose is to serve Vegas' hi-rollers who like to live in luxary while they gamble in a full-service resort....

*richie* - the LIM is approx at 35mph when it hits that drop you are talking about.....Lunar Excursion is the most intense ride in the park at this time, but still under 10.....

All very nice. I guess if I was being pedantic, I'd say use some chinese scenery such as the "gong" or some more chinese plants but it's nice as it is.

It looks awsome. THe only minor downside is the amount of vegetation in there, but i can live with that. One other thing is the bright red roof on the right, it looks out of place IMO, maybe the blood red you used the other side would look better. I love the black/white rooves over the que, they work awsome. I really cannot wait to see this park, those duelling woodies look interesting

That's really nice......! I love the way of the coaster being themed, well done.

You said that Wild Mustang is a "possible mine train". imo the mine train wouldn't really match with the western theme, much less the "wild mustang" theme. Mine trains just don't go...tall enough. Or twisted enough. (Probably because when I hear "wild mustang" I think of "Bad Horsie" by Steve Vai.)

Get some chinese gongs in there and cut down on some of the vegitation and it will be really good!

P.s: You spelled Tokyo "Tokoyo" instead of "Tokyo".

Brilliant. All those different colours and textures shouldn't work together, yet they do. I love all the vegetation, and the yellow flowers are perfect.

It's beautiful JKay. Some of the colours are a bit hit or miss but it's still incredible. You're improving immensely, FO was nice, TZAP was great but this is just incredible. Well done. I love it.

FINAL UPDATE: Park construction is now at 85%. Completion is scheduled for 6/1/04 (as far as park release, who knows?).

Waaaay too brown. Add some other colors in it like red. Other than that, It's good.

It's fabulous though.

Eh, looks cluttered to me. I can't tell what buidlings are what, what the path system is, the buildings(besides the general store, which is looking good by the way, just add in some red.) seem random ecspessialy the one on the in the top right. Add some more color in to, like some red would do nicely.
It is probably the screen angle that is making me think all of that.

Looking forward to this park and can't wait for it's release!

worst screen so far.

It's nice, but like all your stuff should be more spaced out... give yourself more room, don't be afraid to leave empty squares. That would be my advice... that coaster might look a bit better near the end with some diagonals as well.

This has to be the worst screen of all. IMO that coaster is really ugly, it just doesnt have that flow that i look for in coasters. The rest would look better with some more colour other than brown, maybe some gold, red or maybe try some more purple like the flowers. In FO, the blue worked well, i dont know if you would want to use it again here though. Definately saving the worst until last here, or maybe its just a wind up screen A few tweaks here and there would really improve this screen.

From this park, I can see that your main weakness is coaster design. In the last coaster for example, a break section inbetween 2 banked curves? That's a no no. It just doesn't look smooth.

The screenshot is good though, I like the whole overwhelming brown aspect of it, but that saloon on the far left kinda ruins the effect.

Well, from what I've seen of Thrillzone AP (complete version) the coaster design could be better. Realism works very well when designing coasters!

Well....I'll definitely have to make some changes to this screen based on these responses.....I'll admit now that the coaster layout was a bit rushed, and I sometimes get lost in everything else and completely over look something thats obviously ugly, Richie can attribute to that.....anyway, I do see what you're (thanks metro) talking about; the bank turn-brake-bank turn section does look kinda rough....... I will be making some adjustments there fo sure....It'd be nice if people would justify their opinions & help me by giving advice about the coaster instead of just saying it's ugly and its the worst screen ever *coughevilcough*...oh also, do you have a better color in mind for the flowers?.....if so, please say so......I do agree that the brown is quite overwhelming....I did play with some other colors, but wasn't satisfied with them....I may try to add some red or gold accents in there, but I really dont want to lose the western feel....anyway, please look for some changes with screen, thanks to all who commented...er, I mean gave advice.....and I'll agree with tyandor and metro that coaster layout's are my weakness, but I think that most of you will find most of the coasters in this park a vast improvement over those in TZAP / FO IMO.....
