When I see this park Over View

Not to be a dick, but could you change the name of the YingYang Duelers or change the title of the area they are located cuz the ying and yang ideas are chinese and yet you have them in a japanese -esque area. Sorry, but since im a huge of fan of all things japanese, i hate it when people mix any other asian culture with the japanese. I even correct my friends and they get pissed about it, "w/e" they say (no wonder why there are so few of them ). But anyway, just a thought from a big fan. Oh and one more thing, keep the brown, this, i think, is just one of those exceptions where lots of brown is acceptable. Besides, what other color would look good for that area. I commend you on that area.

Good point Rhynos.....I want to keep the "Ying/Yang Duelers" name, so I will probably change the name of the area to "Red China" or "Little Hong Kong", or something of that nature....I want this park to be as accurate as possible so thanks for bringing that to my attention...

Just recolor some of the objects with blacks and other tones. Maybe some of that pale red color. It will look fine.

No! Don't change it- it's perfect as it is!

The browns are lovely, and IMO, the flowers complement the brown very well.

Everything is great about the screen except for that coaster layout.. the browns are not boring at all.. to me, at least.

Update on last screen. I took some of the advice and added some red into it. I also tried to fix the coaster to the best of my abilities(thanks deano & metro), please let me know what you think:



The park is now 98% complete, I'm now just putting finishing touches on it (the most fun part, btw!...lol)

Looks better, but that coaster just doesnt look like it should be there IMO. It looks odd, over the top of all the archy and other rides etc etc. Its colours seem to blend in too much as well. it does look 10x better than it did before though, ill give you that.

i like it. the colors are very cool and the coaster is amazing. i like the park, i think it comes in the runner ups

Dislikes:The coaster definetly should not be there, it just doesn't look right, it seems to stick out way to much.

The architecture around the scrambler needs to go. I'd say replace it with some foliage like you have at the bottom right of the screen and maybe a little fountain near the path.
Then for railing use the wooden posts.

I don't like the building on the top right of the screen, it looks too random and doesn't really fit in with the buildings to the left of it

The only other thing I don't like is those Arab pots, maybe replace those with some barrels cause that would really help out the Western theme ya got going and make the path 1 type instead of 3 cause it just looks random that way.

Likes: I like the colors you added, it really helps out the area instead of just brown.

The General Store and the building to the bottom left of it are looking really good.

I am interested in seeing that little stage or eating area in the bottom right.
Also the Gallows are a nice touch as well.

I disagree. I think the wooden bits give a kinda tilta-whirl feel which is really nice. I like it, except that one bit of the wood is still brown on one of the roof pieces where the others are red. Change that.

The coaster layout looks much better now. Much smoother and more invert like. Just looks less awkward. I know how hard it is to edit the design of an already built coaster, so big props for that.

You are a very fast builder Jkay, and I have to respect that, because I myself am very slow, so it seems unmanageable to complete such a great quality park is such a short space of time. My hat goes off to you sir.

To me it looks noobish having the same thing surround it like that ecspessialy since it already gives me a blocky feel.
How about build some wooden bits on the General Store side and have the rest be foliage, a small fountain, and some barrels and such mixed in to all of that. Also inside of the small building maybe build a small path and put some Cowboy entertainers in there.
I'm thinking it would look much better then.

Thanks for the suggestions rctfan....I may consider some of them....I cant do the Cowboy entertainer thing tho because I dont have the western themed object group in my bench....but it is a nice idea.....oh, and I really dont want to add any more foliage to or take out any of the wood in this area, I think it will kill the western theme I'm going for.....

I guess the coaster could look out of place....but remember that this barely shows any of the coaster, so in relation to the rest of it, this part may look out of place, but the rest doesnt' IMO.....not much I can do to fix that anyway....

Regarding me being fast.....remember, on average, I play for at least 3 hours / day, sometimes more and even more on weekends, therefore I'm not really fast, I just play more than the average parkmaker, or at least I think....I do try to remain productive while I play too.......so while all you youngins' are doin' school work / chores, I'm playin'....

Actually, you are still a fast parkmaker. I could quite easily go on RCT2 for 3 hours and hardly get anything done through lack of inspiration or just looking at the park and changing liltte things

Apart from the logo nearly giving me seizures, I like the screen a lot, because it has a lot of character. It's very involved and quite charming, like the rest of the park. Good job.

Coaster looks much much much much better. I like that screen a lot, now. But why is there a giant yellow square that covers up half the logo duing one of the frames?
