I got a huge vid from a ride that i made...

kind of practiced some simple video editing on it...

    http://snowbound.ins...com/grizzly.rar

Okay, that is one SICK coaster! That's incredible! Very nice airtime, insane speed, nice forces except for the end... awesome awesome ride, SA!!! We're definitely doing a partner park. And Roomie should join in. :D

How long did the buildings ^^ take you? You've changed my whole view about being able to make parks, the only reason im holding back and probably wont buy the game is because of the pathing and the landscaping. Yesterday it wouldnt even let me connect a queue line path to the entrance of a coaster. Then the path ended up raising land, so i couldnt get the land down because the landscaping tool confuses me  I ended up with the entrance having a huge pit in front of it.

Now I'm ashamed to post screens lol..... Corkscrewed, that looks great! You're catching up fast!

    My coaster, Black Mamba:

Im working on a couple new videos for an inverted.

Corky, that looks very nice!!! Wow! I haven't even played with Architecture yet, but when I get to that point, I'll post screens.

Here's a screen of the invert:

And here's a screen of the woody for those of you on dial-up:

Sexy lookin woody you got there! ;)

Please tell me that those flowers aren't really part of the ground...that looks aweful I hope that gets changed by the time the real version is out.

Besides that Cork, beautiful architecture you got going on...I like it.
  • sacoasterfreak%s's Photo
Here's a slightly smaller vid.. this one shows the invert in action (its not a POV, I havent edited the POV yet.)

This video is absolutely sexy, and its 27.6 megs I believe. Quicktime format (.mov)

    http://snowbound.ins...invertclips.mov

I just whipped that up real quick, so the editing isn't so great, but you guys get the idea. That coaster is gone, so there is no hope of gaining any more footage. The POV came out perfect, but to be able to post it, I have to take the woody POV down.

Corky: Awsome, just fucking awsome. It definetly shows that you can build great architecture in Rct 3 if you just have the patience. I just love how it looks all realistic and such. Awsome work! Now if only I could get the demo to work so I could build things to show. :'(
You can go inside the buildings right?, or is that just a on a ride type deal?

DF: Nice coaster. It looks like it would be fun to ride. :yup:

Corky, you have some competition. When I get started on theming and scenery, I'm going to school you.

    :SA:
^ That is my smiley, because I have schooled countless others before. Who else has a smiley named after them? ;)

I'm not saying that I'm better than you... Just saying that this is going to be alot of fun. :)

Maximus, the flowers are a scenery item just like in RCT 1 / 2. ;)

I think he means they r flat. They dont come off the ground at all. And i agree they look like crap.

Ive been playing around with the landscaping tools and stuff, its getting easier to use, however finding what walls i want and stuff takes forever, i still havent found a square base block, all my buildings have lovely grass carpets. The top levels of architecture is floorless.. RCT2 windows should have been kept, so much easier than this, especially when theres no way to use the mouse wheel to scroll down the lists.

edit: Anyone found a way to make tunnels? I read somewhere they were making it possible, probably left out for the demo though.

    Hey hey
This is what i was working on the other day
ive finally got some editing programs to resize images and stuff lol
Not as good as corks area but its a start :)

    The screens are awesome!
rct3 will be better than I thought

Thanks for the topic Corkscrewed! It's like giving to charity ;) All the screens look great, although I'm quite partial to Gutterflower's screens. I do have a few questions however:
-What is the pricing structure for water (because of the new way of raising/lowering it)?
-Is there any isometric view, as in RCTLL and RCT2?
  • JBruckner%s's Photo
    Wow.
We are gonna kill chapels hosting service.
At anyrate, the screens look awsome I need to spend more time with this game.

I think he means they r flat. They dont come off the ground at all. And i agree they look like crap.

That is exactly what I mean...they look so fake and shitty. I am guessing though it is just the demo version and the real flowers will look much more 3-Dimensional...

Gutter those are some very nice looking buildings...especially the teal and white building in the first and second screen
  • Disney Freak%s's Photo
natelox, there IS "classic" view mode.

Gutterflower, that's some sexy architecture you've got there. I love the coaster interaction! Great job!

I have a question about the "movie" you can take of parks. When I hit F11 to do this my computer slows to a crawl. Is this how .mov files are made?
