  • First of all, huge congratulations to the winners! Well deserved.

Victoria Mine: Shaft 13 – My favourite parts are the engine wheel, the coal train and the conveyor belt. Really good use of all the moving parts. Great use of colour, the deep red is very effectful. Probably the park that best completed the objective.

The Last Frost Fair – Why in gods name is there an elephant on ice? Anyway, incredible park. Great architecture. Immaculate attention to detail, from the fair itself to the little indoors scenes. Also, the chimneys! And the smoke! Why didn’t I think of that?! The coaster pacing is a little fast, which is the only negative thing I can think of writing. My favourite of the bunch.

Chamberlain Steel – Hot damn, a launched 4D coaster! Some really nice layouts in this parks, and the architecture is very well done. As others have mentioned, the river is great. Similarly to Victoria Mine this park does all the small moving things really well.

Movie Night at the Turn of the Century Club – Mind-boggling stuff. The projector and the film effects are so cool.

AJ's Prairie Lightning – A launched log flume, what is the world coming to?! My favourite AJ entry so far, and that’s saying quite much. It’s just so neat. I really like the silos and the little dudes painting them. When it comes to architecture the building behind the silos is my favourite, I want to have a glass of wine on the patio and talk about roller coasters. And the coaster is good.

Steel Valley – While I really do like the LL aesthetic, it brings me back 20 years to when I was drooling over early NE parks, it’s difficult to compare it to the other parks. I really do like the steam trains and the central area. Great industrial feeling. I’m not a big fan of the two coasters out at the edges, I think they take attention away from the center and messes with the overall layout of the park.

Modern Foundations – Our park! Based on the reviews I think we failed to convey some of our ideas. The base idea was a miniature TTA, a journey by steam train through the industrial revolution. From the pastoral area through the growing modern city to the half-finished skyscraper at the apex. From the humble steam engine powering the Cups, through the coal powered city (admittedly this part doesn’t really show up at all, whoops) to the large hydro plant at the top.

My favourite part is probably the skyscraper. I built the structure and then Liam came in and elevated it skyhigh with the peep scene on top, the crane and all the construction stuff. And it took him like all of 5 minutes.

  • Neat, love me a family invert!

  • All three entries fulfill the objectives (as well as being high quality) quite well. There’s ports, ships and a sense of exploration. Well done!

    AJ's Alamo Expo

Personally I preferred AJ’s round 1 and 2 submissions. Compared to them this one feels a little empty, despite being filled with nice little scenes. I think the boardwalks dominate the macro and steal the spotlight from the rest of the area.

The log flume is a strong contender for the best ride of this round.

    Bocas Del Toro

Cute and fun little park. I really like the coaster. It manages to feel realistic while still being innovative, a great combination of attributes. The tropical foliage and beach combination is very well executed, downright inspiring!

    Memories of Mauritius

Holy density Batman! I like to compare RCT to building miniatures and this submission is a perfect example of that. Each centimeter is filled with fun little scenes and settings to explore. The rides weave in and out of each other and the landscape, and the landscaping is incredible! The coaster suffers from being specified as a GCI without looking like a GCI, in the setting I think a fantasy ride would have been a better fit. But it’s a minor thing, the over all quality of this submission is incredible.

  • Secrets in the Snow - I really love the dark trees as an outline. The main ride is great, I really like that you did something unique instead of just another Intamin/Mack launched coaster. Spotless interaction between rides and architecture.

Moonrace Alpha - It sure is a space race. Not sure what more to say.

The Cosmodrome - I actually really like this one. The sparseness of the design, the distinct areas (the exploded building, the rocket, the bomb lab) and the realistic rides (especially the Spiral coaster, nice supports!). RCT2 is an inherently beautiful game and this park shows that you don't have to delve deep into half diagonals to show that. Not so sure about the camels and the parabolic dish however lmao

McCarthy Air Force Base - My favourite part here is the underground complex. Really well made. The implicit storytelling with the hidden missiles, the way the rollercoaster connects it to the surface, the transfer track elevator! Stellar stuff. The KGB tunneling towards the base is a fun detail.

Race to the Moon - Damn, this thing is massive! The architecture and the rocket sculptures are simply great. The ride layouts on the other hand feel quite basic and could use a little more work, same for the foliage.

Rumble in the Red Rocks - Tasteful use of half diagonals and amazing attention to detail. The UFO, the speeding rebel, the soviets, great execution! I really enjoyed how the main ride interacted with the rock wall.

The Men Who Stare at Oats - A charming and fun build with an obvious and well executed storyline, this Narc character is a genious! Everyone should vote for this one, twice! Ehrm...

Disney's Kennedy Space Center - Contemporary RCT at its best. Simply stunning. Heaping more (well deserved) praise on this submission feels pointless so I'll bring up the one thing I did not like. In a park where everything looks polished to a ridiculous degree the main rollercoaster is hidden away in a big box in the corner and if you remove the roof to check it out it's just ordinary RCT which honestly feels a tad unfinished. The Peoplemover is a superiour ride.

  • I need to do Guess The Game as well since I don't recognize the name Undead Parish. Frustrating for new players makes me think it's a Souls-like and with the gothic architecture and undead theme, is it Bloodbourne?
